zep_tepi
Hey guys - Ive gathered my pennies and I got £200 to spend on a new unit - Im still keeping my old SHARP IM-DR400 (probably wear it around my neck or something..) What would you recommend me to buy within this price range?I listen to lots to genres especially world and ambient & Im more concerned with sound quality above anything else.Im ok with most types of compression programs as long as its cool with most file formats (wav, mp3, mpegs, OPENmg)Whaddya think?Cheers!ZEP
mercury_in_flames
hmm i'd wait for the 3rd gen himd if i were you, but if you like whats out there, just get the rh10. As much as i hate the fingerprints thing and cheapness of plastic its the top of the range at the moment.

Richard
rh10, or sharp auvi Do you need the ability to record from optical / line & mic-in? Or is PC connectivity enough?

As much as i hate the fingerprints thing and cheapness of plastic its the top of the range at the moment.Funnily enough - thats what i was looking at a while ago, looks really nice i have to admit...However i've heard a few moans about how the user is forced to use sonic stage for downloading and restricts various freedoms?...Could you clarify this? Also, what do mean by the "fingerprints thing"?Cheers ZEPrh10, or sharp auvi Thanks for the connects AMPlitude! Although the AUVI looks nice, I really want to check out the SONY sound that eveyones been raving about...and the RH10 looks well funky-like something the new batman would listen to... Do you need the ability to record from optical / line & mic-in? Or is PC connectivity enough?hey richyu -Its well important to have PC connectivity - b'coz thats the scource of my tunes at the mo.However I do frequent a lot of outdoor fezzies and it would be nice to have a mic in, to record live.Looking at the RH10s' tech spec - it looks as though all above bases are covered? Thats it! SOLD!Im buying one! Thanks alot guys!
Syrius
Try the NH900 if you don't like the first generation. You wont' miss the Mp3 playback capability, though.
