RH10 Digital Amp vs NH900 HD Digital Amp? Difference?

I have a MZ-NH900 which I have been very happy with, but have been looking at the RH10 for the OLED screen. Has anyone compared how the two sound? I know technically it's a 'step down' with the amp on the RH10 but how much of a difference does it make? Oh yeah... :D and what exactly is the difference between the HD and regular digital amp anyway?

Thanks,

Sean

I can hear the difference between the RH10 and NH1 (uses same amp as NH900)

Its not much but the NH1 seems cleaner but for general use there is practically no difference.

The main thing is I can hear background hiss on my RH10 that seems to go after a few seconds of starting playback. Its annoying if I am listening to a quiet track in a quiet room. The NH1 is crystal clear with no hiss.

I've had a hard time hearing a difference between the two amps...but I do hear a small difference on CDs I've made from Line Out recordings. When USB transfer failed on a few of my discs...I made some recordings into my computer from the Line Out on the NH1 and the fake line out on the RH10 (no EQ, headphone volume up all the way). The result is that the RH10 recordings, as recorded on my comp, had less bass than the ones made with the NH1. For reasons like this, I would like to see a return of the true Line Out feature to Hi-MD portables.

I use both, for micrphone recording outdoors - NH900 during daylight; RH10 at dusk and after.

I record in PCM (uncompressed) format.

I monitor through headphones (Sennheiser HD25) and transfer to PC via USB and Total Recorder in real time. I dont transfer at high speed via Sonic Stage.

I can't say I've noticed the difference in quality between the two.
