Hey,

First of all- I apologize for putting this request for help in the Hi-MD forum, but I looked at your topics, saw no real parts info, and this is clearly the most updated forum here. I'm a new member (I've observed your site for years), but only felt compelled to join now that I have a desperate need for Japanese parts- and you are the experts on the web. I just "scored" a DR77 on ebay, missing remote, charger, software, manual, etc. I don't know what I was thinking! SharpUSA gave me zero help and wasted lots of my time. I really can live if I just get the cradle and some software would be great, but then that leads me to my next question: The DR77 supposedly came out in 2004, is listed on some websites as NetMD, and yet I see NO usb jack on the unit? Any and all help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

let's leave this one seperate from his i want the parts in the classifieds. the osftware you need is sonicstage from our download section & also a sharp netmd driver to make them talk.

your best bet is to contact audiocubes or minidisco & get a quote on a cradle & keep searching ebay for same.

Um, maybe I read this wrong, but this is a Sharp MZ-DR77 - an update to the lovely Sharp MZ-DR7. This unit is not NetMD capable. It is a MDLP unit, and a nice one at that. All the stand will do is allow charging of the battery. There is no way to use this unit with Sonic stage.

like Lamewing said, the dr77 is not a netmd recorder. In case the e-bay seller misnamed the item, the way to tell if you have the dr77 non-netmd unit or the dr80 netmd unit is easy...the dr77 has an lcd screen on the unit and the dr80 has no screen on the unit.

But, unless you really want a NetMD unit, you are lucky to have found one. They are around, but the etailers want more than all but the most expensive HiMD units.
