Ok, so I was wondering if any of you MiniDisc nuts have seen anyone(who you did not already know) with a minidisc unit either new or old and just sparked up a conversion with them?

For me if was at work, someone on first shift had a "MZ-N420D gray" I stared talking to her and she said: "I liked it more then the flash/HDD players and it was cheaper" and, her words not mine was, "it was cute!" ^_^

Now its your turn to share your stories, they could be from a couple years ago to whenever.

I was at a show once stealth recording and I saw someone staring frustratedly at an MZ-N707 out in the open. Turned out she was trying to record the show with it for one of the band members, who owned the unit, and she was getting frazzled because she'd never used MD before, it was dark, she couldn't see the LCD display, etc. I showed her how to get the thing recording and read the display by matchlight. I think we forget sometimes how un-intuitive the buttons are.

not seen one in a very long time, the last hi~md one seen was an nh900 at least 18 months ago on somebody listening to music in a parked car and the last minidisc player of any kind was about 6 months ago with a college classmate for listening during work

it looks like minidisc listeners don't proudly show there players to the world like many who succumbed to the iPod do and lack of distinct earphones make telling the minidiscs out from the competition difficult
