...that these come with cases that can be flipped open!? :D I had no clue until just now when I saw a friend open one by putting their thumbs on the inner edges and doing what I thought was the wrong way to do it. I was used to the small slip-type cases that come with other some other discs which definitely do not flip open. All you could do was slide the discs in.

Crazy. So then I looked back at my archive of MDs and took notice of some other cases that also flip open. MD Head & Lens Cleaning discs come with cases that are like the ones made for cassette tapes, and one of my other 80 minute TDK discs came with a case like that too, so of course this is not a brand new thing...but now it's the best of both worlds. Flip or slide.

Surely this post may invite some ridicule from people who have known all along, but I overlooked it for a long time! This makes for easier writing on those little J cards. Anyone else not know about this, or was I just totally blind and oblivious?

EDIT: This should probably go in the Tips and Tricks section. My bad

Most of TDK's cases for regular MD's do that too. :)

i find these cases annoying; but intriguing. they collapse on me in the middle of a job; or project. i prefer the Tupper Ware ones, simple but milky.

i must own about 700 cases, and the simple ones "Rule".

i have yet to ever use an index card from these cases; prefer two Avery stickers; but when the cases collapse; you have to jam a screw driver up into the case to re-configure it.! Figure it.!
