FTS2090
I was thinking... since Sony will not advertize HiMD (I have never seen a tv ad or printed ad).... how about people submit ideas for an ad, and then people with artistic talent in the minidisc.org community join efforts and together and actually make an ad... then post it to google video, then we can all go to the apple ipod forums and post links to our HiMD fan made ad.just a thought
jaylen
Google video sounds like a good idea. I'm not sure about posting it in iPod forums (like iLounge) though. Maybe the ad would be received better at forums with a more general audio-fan base. Good thinking and good luck!

garcou
I imagine a video with a boy who goes work morning and just take the MD a friend gave him the day before, enter his car and plug the disc in the car unit: no necessary swich on the computer, etc..the ad could also show that you can share photos, videos (divx), and make professional quality live recordings and high fidelity players (decks). The idea is to present himd like a modern multimedia and the nostalgic ability of share with our friends, to do a gift to our girfriend with lovesongs compilation etc... MD = the good old tape reliability of the 70 + multimedia ability of the third millenium . I think one day people will be tired with cold unhuman share of internet, and will want high fidelity listening again. jonny mac
Ads haven't been nearly as extensive as they ought to have been. I've seen some one but they give no info on what MD can DO!!!
dex Otaku
How about ads showing what HiMD is actually best used for? Such as:* someone recording a performance of live music for their friend in a small bar [and have the friend thanking them for the recording!]* someone recording a location interview of some kind* someone recording the language of some relatively-unknown society out in the jungle * someone recording - whatever! What would I make my ads for HiMD about? Recording, recording, recording, recording, and recording.
Sparky191
I don't think I've seen a MD ad other than the very first ones.
