eram
Hi,I am new here. I have been with the minidisc thing since MZ-R50. My MZ-RH10 is my fifth recorder. I bought this a few months ago and at first things were working fine. Recording with the mic, uploading, putting CDs on disk, etc. I was using Sonic Stage 3.0, which was provided on CD when I bought it.Yesterday I noticed there is a 3.4 so I went to sony.com and downloaded and installed the updated. When I went to launch sonic state it did its thing for a second and then nothing. I double-clicked again. It did its thing for a bit and an error box popped up basically saying no go. I tried to reinstall it. I uninstalled and reinstalled both 3.4 AND the original 3.0 and neither work. Simple Burner works fine.I have written Sony and at this time uninstalled the entire thing from my computer. If anyone can help me I would really appreciate it. I am using a P4 2.8 Ghz PC running XP with service pack 2 installed. Like I was saying, 3.0 was working fine but the 3.4 update has ruined everything for me. The Low Volta
- are you running windows skins or something like that? this sometimes ruins SS-performance- have you tried a complete uninstall like described in the pinned thread "things not working, look inside" and then do a fresh install of 3.
atrain
update windows media player then try running the mdac repair tool, either from the downloads section here or from microsofthttp://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...&displaylang=enplease read the software support FAQ before posting again
eram
Hi,I tried everything that has been suggested in this thread and the FAQ. And I still have the same problem. Sony wrote back with something I had already tried and that does not apply to me anyway as I am running XP Pro SP2. I have written them back and I am waiting for it to hopefully work its way to a senior tech.If anyone here has any other suggestions please let me know. I don't want to wipe my PC just for this. eram
I was on the phone with Sony for 2 hours and it ended with "it's your computer". What a bunch of bastards. Funny how the same computer has been running versions of Sonic Stage up to and including 3.0 without a problem. This is the error I get when I try to launch Sonic Stage 3.4AppName: omgjbox.exe AppVer: 3.4.1.13062 ModName: mfc71.dllModVer: 7.10.3077.0 Offset: 00031560

Supernova
I think I have the very same problem. I just bought a MZ-NHF800 wich is great! and it came with the Sonic Stage 2.1 Software and it worked just fine. But the thing is I needed to edit some things I recoreded on a Hi-MD and there's no way to open a .oma or omg file with the Cool Edit, So I read this forum and I decided to download the Sonic Stage 3.4, coz here it says that I can convert files to .wav.I installed the software and now when I try to run the program it says something about "upgrading database" or something, and when it's making this upgrade, Windows just open the "send error report" window.I tried to restar the PC, but it didn't work. So now I've seen here on the forum the Sonic Stage 4.0, I'm downloading this and I'll install it to see what happens...If any one knows what this problem is about, I will appreciete any solution you can give me!By the way, I LOVE THIS FORUM! Now I'm just trying to find out how to export the files to wav or something I can edit with the Cool Edit, but i think it won't be difficult I just wanted you to knowThanx for welcoming!
