RobA
I've always been curious about this, finally decided to open it for discussion. Is there really a white nh600/nh600d? Everywhere I see is silver and occasionally blue, but this picture comes up alot. Especially in ebay auctions, but after asking the seller it is revealed that it is really a silver unit, not white.Anyone own or have proof that this unit actually exists? I have a feeling it was just a prototype picture and never actually released (like the red rh1).
jaylen
The MDCF Equipment Browser says that the NH600D comes in blue, silver, and white. Who knows. Maybe white does exist, but is extremely rare. Kind of like the red DH10P (currently waiting on Ishiyoshi's pictorial) or the blue NH3D (pictorial just now came out) - you don't see those very often, if ever. RobA
Yep the white nh600 exists!!!I HAVE ONE!!! Nice, pics? You should post a pictorial of it, as it would be the first of the white 600.

Bananatree
I suggest photobucket.com or Tinypic.comBoth walk you through the easy steps.
michael
I own a blue NH600, but yes, the white one also does exist! It's been for sale on amazon.de back in 2004, and I once saw one in a "Saturn" electronics shop in Germany.
peter312
There's one on eBay:http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...item=9737782206Not mine, but looks nice.
jaylen
I'm not a fan of the NH600's look at all (especially the silver), but the white makes it look 100x better. Thanks for the find, Peter.
bogon07
Seems an odd sort of satin white. Accentuates the NH600 styling even more; reminds me of the SMEG retro fridge. The NH600S is my least liked MD unit and spends all its time in a Sony HiMD bag. Fat Tires
For me the NH600D is all about function over looks. It just simply works and that's what I love about it. I don't care that it's the "uncoolest" of my HiMD. It serve's it purpose admirably well, and it has taken a lot of use yet it still as new as the day I got it. MDX-400
I think only the NH600 is available in the 3 different colours. The NH600D is only available in silver, as far as I've seen.I like the blue the best myself, but the white is nice too. I will agree though that the silver isn't too hot at all. Karmageddon
well I must say...I have had the NH600D since the day it came out here in Vancouver BC Canada (nearly 2 years ago) Great unit, but it has seen some minor abuse over the years as it is my primary portable player. The crappy "paint job" in silver is very easy to rub off or have it flake off..You see, I wear a ring on my left hand and thats the same hand I use to hold the device while I walk/jog. After 2 years of holding it like this with my ring rubbing against it, it has actually removed some of the silver finish to show a crappy whitish/blue plastic base. UGLY!I wonder if Sony can -repaint the unti for me at an extra charge...It looks pretty beat up. I'll be sure to hold onto my RH1 and keep it just for recording/home use.... iTor
Hey! The white NH600 is nice, but I still don't feel comfortable with white audio players. Yes! call me a maniatic, but hey, no white NH600 is going to change my mind about my beatiful and useful blue NH600!
