Sparda
Lol, i finally got it today like they told me. I just got back from my local sony store and returned home satisfied with a brand new RH1. Currently it is charging and has exactly 2 hours left for the full charge( how long do i charge it for for the first time?) And to tell you the truth seeing the thing first hand is better then anything else. All my previous worries are now all gone. I mean i got the best music player in the whole world!!(whos with me!?!?) My first impressions are WOW! This thing is definetly not cheap like some ipods i see, lol. The quality, finsh and attention to detail is way, way beyond my expectations. It really does feel like a quality work of art. Not with some cheap bland white plastic all over the place. The coolness of the metal against my hand feels very pleasent. Anyways i just wanted to do an updated. Who knows, i might even type up my own review later on......Sony has done it again! - One satisfied Hi-MD ownerpsone dissapointment i found was that the back doesnt have all the fancy logos and features on it, like the NH1 or N10 etc. lol Edited September 13, 2006 by Sparda

Sparda
lol cause i personally thought they looked nice, but who cares, they dont serve a purposeful purpose. I really am very satisfied with the quality, i have never seen quality like this since.......never!
Tunster
Glad you're extremely happy. To tell you the truth, I was very excited getting back into the MD arena by purchasing the RH1. My disappointments of NetMD had all disappeared. I still use both my N510 and RH1.The point of having logos on the back.... there is no point as its more things to be scratched off and make it look tacky.Sound reproduction is superb and hopefully something you will appreciate when you get a chance to play with it after charging it.When I eventually get a half-decent digital camera, I will do a full review on it and do some testing just to backup how GOOD this device is. You won't get less than a quality product from SONY everytime.
Stuge
Congrat Sparda!i'm also like you ,when it comes to Logos
Sparda
Thanks for the comments guys, really appreciate it. And the sound reproduction of it really is superb. Even my very first md player n510 sounds better then any non-md player. The RH1 really is a work of art. But one gripe is that i can't listen to a track and then search for other ones without it changing songs. I found a way to do this but it is very tedious. Is there a better way to search for songs without changing the current one? Lastly i promise to do my best to come up with some close ups the RH1 before today ends. Best regards to all. The Low Volta
get an RM-MC40ELK remote... this allows scrolling through tracks while listening to another one (it shows three lines of tracks and it has a scrollwheel)
raintheory
The only time I prefer the stock remote to the RM-MC40ELK with the RH1 is when I am driving and want to be able to switch groups easily. The MC40ELK is great for searching for songs with it's jog dial, but kind of a pain if you just want to jump 2 groups ahead... (unless I'm missing something obvious) Edited September 14, 2006 by raintheory
The Low Volta
nope, you are right raintheory... I bought the RM-MC40ELK for its backlit display of rec levels and not as a playback remote... as I always listen to full albums, I really prefer the RM-MC38EL (I've even got two from my NH900 and the RH1)but for 'song-listeners' the RM-MC40ELK offers better navigation with the RH1 I guess
