MZ-RH1 Battery question

I'm not entirely sure I follow, but one reason for the battery depleting if not actively being used is if "Quick Mode" is set to on and there is a disc in the unit. The reduces startup and initial seek times on the disc, but does consume some minimal battery life if left on.

Exactly the answer I was looking or. In other words, there is a 'service' that is running in the backgound just like on your TV that enables quicker startup.

I shall remove the disc to coserve energy.

Thanks.

Taking the disc out does not do anything, like what raintheory said go to the menu and go options and you will see quickmode somewhere and just turn quickmode off. Also if you leave your battery untouched for extended periods of time it will drain no matter what.
