lacobo
On my NH1 the unit remembers where I stopped the disc (if I don't remove it) and continues at exactly that point when I press the play button again. The RH1 however often starts with track 1 in group 1. This is somewhat annoying. If I connect it to the USB connection it resets to g1t1 (after disconnecting), but also in half of the other times I use this fine device. Then: - I haven't removed the disk - It was not on USB - The quick mode is onAnyone else experiencing the same? Richard
I know you are saying this is intermittent - so some of the time it resumes the disc ok - is that correct? That said, did you double check the disc memory option is set to on - does the RH1 have this option in fact? (I don't yet own one so I can't check)

And ofcourse there's nothing wrong with the contents of the disc, but it doesn't remember that it should start at f.i. group 9 track 5. No, it goes back to group 1, track 1. My good old NH1, N1 and even the R50 didn't do that.
Richard
Yes, the quick mode is on. My good old NH1, N1 and even the R50 didn't do that. I know the quick mode is on but on the DH10P, NH1 and all my other units there is another option called Disc Memory which is used to remember the startup position and is independent of Quick Mode which just speeds up the startup. I don't know if that option also exists on the RH1 - maybe not, I couldn't see it in the manual.Edit: I just checked my notes for the menus on the preview model RH1 we reviewed and it looks like indeed there is no separate disc memory option. Maybe one of the plethora of new RH1 owners can help us out here.
Hungerdunger
Don't look any further, it's the damn overlarge eject button.I have been thinking about trying to fix a small piece of black plastic in front of the eject button to avoid accidental presses. Perhaps something like a section from the top of a pen with the same curvature as the RH1.I know it will spoil the looks to a small extent, but this resetting is really annoying, especially as I download and listen to a lot of Podcasts which typically are 30 minutes long. I might stop playback after 15 minutes, then the next day it's gone back to track 1 and I have to search for the point where I left off.Has anyone got an idea for what I could use? Sparda
hmmm, i seem to never have this problem, or maybe it could be that i haven't noticed it yet? i suggest that you get a case for the RH1, instead of using the pouch or worse......no pouch.
