Sony_Fan
Anything new in SS 4.2, like improved ATRAC encoding, transferring or anything else?

exe
That was NOT a nice answer...I do also wonder which are the last "fail safe" and would like the minidisc org page (or at least the downloading links) to report that, when that change...Then does sometimes a new version include other bad news (except nasty bugs) type new restrictions! A440
There are no new restrictions in SonicStage 4.2. It improves computer (not MD) playback of compressed files and is said to load more quickly. http://forums.minidisc.org/index.php?showtopic=17734If you prefer to use the 3.4 that comes with the RH1, you shouldn't have any problems with it. Nor should you have any problems with a clean installation of 4.2. But no Sony program is fail-safe.
Sparda
Is there a reason for me not to switch to 4.2? Because 3.4 works great for me, but sometimes I get these messages that say I cannot transfer the following files, and I just close SS and re-transfer, but It does get annoying after awhile. Would I be better off with 3.4 or 4.2?
Sparda
I've decided to just install it anyways, seems pretty much the same, but is noticeably faster. The DSEE to me acts as a bass booster, nothing more or less.
