Hi

I currently have a MZ-NH1 which I have hardly used(less than 10 hrs) For my home system I have a Denon Micro system which includes a MD player/recorder. I've recorded about 20 of the old MD and I realize that these will play in my Denon and either of the Sony portables but the 1gb MD work only in the Sony units.I also own about 25 of the regular MD's

I would really like to know if the new MZ-RH1 is really that superior to the NH1 and why is it better?

Is it possible to upload my old regular MD"s to my PC? If so how do I do this?

I appreciate any help/feedback re this matter. I really don't want to get a new unit unless It's worth it. Besides I have no idea if there is anyone that would be interested in buying this unit along with all the MD's I have.

Thanks for your help.

I think, (but nor 100% sure) that the RH1 is better because...

Faster transfers

USB Charging

SP (original MD) digital uploads to the PC.

The NH1 is still a nice unit is is arguably a better player because it has a better remote. You could record in analog realtime to the PC usng the NH1, you don't "need" a RH1, especially if you don't use it that much anyway.

The remote that came with the NH1 will work with the RH1.

As others have said, the big improvement of the RH1 over the NH1 is that it will upload old minidisc recordings. If that's important to you, it's the only unit that does it.

Also, the RH1 doesn't need a charging cradle. And instead of the proprietary USB connection on the NH1, it has a conventional mini-USB , so you can always replace the cord.
