jeffgrado
http://www.sonystyle.com/is-bin/INTERSHOP....U=CMTU1BT/NWKITThis is an interesting unit meant to work with one of Sony's SS players. Though, I wonder if you could connect any Sony Sonicstage compatible unit, including a hi-md, to it.

It has a 1gb internal memory for copyinga cd to , or mp3 storage , I didnt see anything about Atrac in the specs, that is a USB out , it does have an analouge line input so you could play MD thru it. I was hoping to be able to control the unit through the stereo. Then again, there's really not much of a point.

reefbeef
Onkyo has a Hi-MD all-in-one bookshelf unit, the X-B8. No optical out nor USB to PC though.I'm losing hope in waiting around for a Hi-MD deck. I may break down and get one of these for the bedroom. Need somethin...
