Hooking up Bravia to ethernet?

Rate this question

Question

Like most new higher end bravias, our Z series has an ethernet port in the back of it. I am wondering what can I use that for? can I hook it up to browse the net or can I access my network for example once I connect the tv to the network?

I am sure someone would know, and any advice would be welcomed.

thanks.

The currently available BRAVIA Z series ethernet port allows for viewing photos using a DLNA network.

So you could stream photos from your computer directly to the TV.

The upcoming XBR9 and Z series will allow photos, music, and video streaming.

There will also be BRAVIA Internet Video and Internet Widgets functionality built in.
