gbrunsdon
I'm trying to do the above and cant get it to work, so maybe its not possible? I've tried to drag an mp3 file onto a himd disk without importing it/ converting it - but then when i go to try and play the file the player doesn't list it? Any advice would be appreciated. I'm using windows xp.. and connecting using the supplied usb lead.

raintheory
Yes, you need to use SonicStage. However, you can transfer the mp3 files as-is with SonicStage, so no transcoding/converting is done.Hi-MD audio disk structure is encrypted, which is why drag & drop of mp3 files does not work (at least you can't play them on the unit this way). carlesraf
If you don't want to use Sonic Stage you can use Realplayer (only for disc in MD mode it don't work on HI-MD mode)MD tech isn't drag and drop

A440
It's not really worth getting involved with Realplayer. The best sound the MD modes give is LP2, and Hi-SP is far better. Does Realplayer even have drivers for Hi-MD units?
