quadnut
Just connected my RH1 to my XP based computer for the first time yesterday. I was able to upload my music to the computer very easily and quickly via SS 4.2, highly recommend this for others thinking of doing the same. My question is, is there a dismounting procedure for the player from the computer similar to what you would do for a flash drive? When I go to the "Safely Remove Hardware" button, it doesn't see the player, even though it's connected via a USB port. Is it OK to just unplug it without doing anything first? What about changing discs while it's still connected to the computer?I know these are basic questions, but I've heard of gadgets being damaged by improperly dismounting from USB ports. greenmachine
You should be able to use the "Safely Remove Hardware" button when SonicStage doesn't run. Just close SonicStage before trying to safely remove.
Hungerdunger
I may be wrong on this, but my experience is that it does show up in "Safely Remove Hardware" when I work in Hi-MD mode, but not when I work in Net MD mode. In the latter case I think it's OK just to disconnect the machine.
