It's a marvellous machine, and I have 4 (well, 3.5) of them. The N1 is NetMD, not HiMD.The RH710 has no microphone input (maybe that doesn't matter - to you)The RH1 is the only realistic upgrade and I still would use the NH700 for most things.Other nice models (none available new) are NH1, RH10, RH910, and NH900. You can also buy a player-only model, they are supposed to be somewhat tougher - but no ability to MAKE the disks you play in it - such as EH1 (v rare and expensive), NH3D (ditto), EH50 and EH70. DreamOn
Depends of what you want from a a Hi-MD player really, but judging from the players that you listed up, that you want to have one that runs with normal AA's, and is a recorder... i think there's only one player in my opinion (External AA's are limited to only NH900 i think, don't count that for sure though) to upgrade to, and that's the MZ-NHF800Of course, there is alot of Hi-MD beauties, but unfortunatedly they are usually pretty expensive and rare, like the ace of diamonds, MZ RH-1, Camera-enabled DH10P.,and the players i don't remember by name...there's alot of them, but i really don't know if there's any need at all to upgrade, NH700 would fit me just fine, but that's just my opinion (as i am satisfied with my NetMD's alone )

No real need to wait for an NHF800, you can just buy a spare NH700

I don't have the NH700, but I know that I can't plug my MC39LT into any of my other portables. Edited May 7, 2009 by Hungerdunger
