sarina
Hi All, I have a Hi-MD (MZ-NHF800) which only use for making personal recordings, usually of long interviews, sometimes of live music. Sonic stage is driving me crazy because (a) it won't let me transfer a recording I made a few years ago (at the time transfered to an older version of sonicstage that limited # of transfers)- but that computer died, so I need to transfer againand ( it won't allow transfer of a recording made in MD mode not Hi-MD"unable to transfer tracks because they are recorded in net md or by another computer"I've read all the forum about doing it in real time but with about 50hours of recordings, its near impossible. Has anyone heard of any opensource/freeware alternative software that would allow transfer of the tracks via USB (not real-time!)- is this possible with net md recordings? Is there anyway I can get my windows vista computer to recognise my minidisc and at least "see" the files on it? Giant_Rick
I'm afraid you can upload non Hi-MD recordings ONLY with the Sony RH1 (M200)...

Noone knows (yet) whether transfer FROM NetMD is going to be possible.Search for "linux-minidisc" in the forum and posts by "cbmuser".As you discovered, the NHF800 is fine for new, HiMD recordings upload.
