GQ Smooth
Hi everyone. I currently own a RH1 & a NHI units. Both come with remote. I currently own a pair of Senheisser CX300, which, whilst are perfect phones', are a bit long, cable wise. I tried the CX500s, but didn't like the SQ. I was thinking of getting a pair of Shure, but was worried about the length. To those with a remote unit, what do you use? I currently use an elastic band to shorten the length of the remote cabling, but this doesn't work well with the cabling for the CX300s. Any advice welcome. GQ Smooth
Thanks for that. I have tried those, but because my CX300's goes behind my neck, I find that this doesn't work for me.
Abby Normal
I apologize ahead of time for seeming dense. I thought you just needed something better than the elastic to keep the cable short. This would do that. If you need to shorten both the remote and the phones, get two. Thanks for that. tekdroid
To those with a remote unit, what do you use?You might consider a Sony MDR-EX300SL or Sony MDR-EX500SL (SL is the designation for Short Length cable, if memory serves). You will get a plug-in extension cable bundled with it if you need the extra length if not using a remote, so you can't lose. I own the MDR-EX300SL and it's ok as far as earbuds go. Not sure what the MDR-EX500 is like sonically. I'm not a great fan of many earbuds...but this does the job. Hungerdunger
I own the MDR-EX300SL and it's ok as far as earbuds go. Not sure what the MDR-EX500 is like sonically.I bought the EX500s a few months ago to replace my broken EX90s. I'm not the best at judging sound quality but I noticed a definite improvement, and also found them better for staying firmly fixed in my ears.
