Syrius
*SOLD* Guys, I've landed my pirate paws on a mostly-mint NH-1 unit. The unit is beautiful, functional and slightly smaller than the RH1. Truly sexy and elegant to hold and behold, I'm having a hard time letting it go. The unit has been tested, works. Comes with the cradle, manual, 4 1st Gen Hi-MD discs and 8 regular discs, 40-ELK remote. It includes the USB cord, Cradle and AC Adapter. Manual too. No Box. Gumstick battery charges and powers the unit just fine. The crappy earphones were busted, and therefore not included. Only caveats are minor cosmetic imperfections on the face and side of the unit. I've recorded, played, uploaded and downloaded with the unit, and haven't found any problems with it. 180 USD plus cheap shipping okay? Will ship to Canada too, but be aware of the import tariffs. Europe, depends on the country. The AC adapter is rated for USA voltage. Will take Paypal, but I prefer Money Order. (Paypal levies fees on EVERYTHING now) Come on, folks. The closest match is one unit for 250 at Amazon.com Thanks. -S.
Azureal
A couple of notes: 1) The NH1 cradle does not have any USB connection at all. 2) The NH1 requires a special USB cable to connect from a standard PC/Mac USB to the NH1 unit. The cable is the same as the one (I believe) that is used for the N10 and the DH10-P Just noting this to be fair to any prospective buyers; without the special cable, you cannot transfer data to the unit ... Syrius
Price updated. Come on, 180 is too good of a price for an unit like this! Get it off my paws, it's just sitting here unloved.
Sony_Fan
Is this a downloader unit only? What inputs does it have? Any sony earphones?
Azureal
Is this a downloader unit only? What inputs does it have? Any sony earphones? No, not at all. The NH1 is the flagship first generation high-end HiMD Walkman built and sold by Sony, magnesium shell, sweet design, thin and light. The unit has a microphone in, and line/optical in, all for recording. Additionally, the unit has NetMD capability for downloading content from SonicStage, Connect Player or Simple Burner. No native MP3 playback capability on first generation HiMD, but who needs it really, any hard core MD lover probably likes the sound of ATRAC encoded music better ... Here is the unit in the MD Browser: MZ-NH1 I have one which I bought new in August of 2004, it still works like a charm, very well built unit. Sony_Fan
Thanks for the info. Can you record in ATRAC SP, LP2, LP4 through optical input with the NH1?
sfbp
Chris, you're supposed to know this stuff, having been around here a long time. If you followed the link you would be able to read page 37 of the manual, as I just did to double-check. Stephen

I thought only the MZ-RH1/M200 recorded in SP, since I remember reading that the MZ-RH10 does not, unless you do a hack.
sfbp
Yes, the reason the RH10 and 910 do not support SP is that they have to support native MP3 playback (the NH1 does not, being first gen). The RH1 has more memory and can do both, according to Avrin (I think that's what he said).
Syrius
I have a pair of leftover earphones from an NHF800 that I can include with the unit. As a general rule, all earphones included in the units *suck*, however, so don't expect Sennheiser or Etymotic quality.
Sony_Fan
The NH1 is the one I'm most interested in from the classifieds, but I just don't have the cash for it right now or I would buy it. Hopefully this will stay up for a while.
Syrius
Don't worry. For the time being, it's as good as yours.
