netmduser
Hi, Anyone wonder what the results would be for the following if you have any experience please share. 1. Record to MD Atrac-R SP mode optical a Music audio CD something that audiochecker reports as genuine CD audio. 2. Upload SP MD to PC (RH1). 3. Burn wav file (from SP Atrac) to CD-RW. 3. Run Audiochecker on CD-RW http://www.dester.hu/English/home_e.html Just wondering if it would report the results as genuine audio CD (even though it came from SP)? Edit: Audiochecker can indicate if the source is mpg or cdda.
sfbp
Bluecrab is the expert. I think you will find that the first generation SCMS copy will show up as counterfeit.
bluecrab
Bluecrab is the expert. I think you will find that the first generation SCMS copy will show up as counterfeit. Well, I must admit to having expertise in some areas, but this isn't one of them, as my MD/computer use is pretty much only an occasional iTunes > MD via line out. I have never even heard of Audiochecker until seeing it here. As for SCMS, it was foisted upon us by the Dark Side.
sfbp
But you were the one that introduced me to the idea that some CD-resident music has the SCMS bit set. Remember? I figure that's what must have happened here. HNY
netmduser
I'm interested if MD SP quality is so good Audiochecker will think its a full cdda wav. With 320 mpg it can tell the difference. Interesting some CDs hold SCMS bit. Remember sony root kit on audio cds?
