Question

Hi. Looking for help please.

I have an older vaio laptop model number PCG91211M.

I am trying to put in a ssd drive. I don't have a docking station fir hard drives to clone the new ssd from the original drive in the laptop.

I have made a usb windows start up stick but can't seem to find how to get the boot screen up when I start windows to change the boot legacy to go from the usb and not the HD.

I've tried most of the F keys to no avail.

It doesn't boot automatically from the usb with the new HD in.

It just says no operating system found.

Any help would be brill.

You probably need to reinstall windows. Make a USB stick with the Windows 10 install image (you will find an ISO somewhere).

If you're on Windows 7 all bets are off BUT your W7 license key will serve as a W10 one.

Or find a friend with a duplicating dock. They cost less than a new copy of Windows.
