riskie
Hi All, I own E505. I can transfer mp3s to it via MP3FM, I can listen to them and radio, but screen is always blank. It even doesn't light. It doesn't show "USB Connect" while system recognizes the device. I don't know what to do. Please, help!
0 imagine_
Hmmm.. How long have you owned the device? Have you done anything significant to it that you can remember when it started behaving like this? Did you use it with powersave before it heppened? If nothing happened to it, this could be the first case that the display on these things has naturally stopped working, and it could give us a hint about its longevity in general. 0 bob123_
The same thing happened on my E507 a few weeks ago - try pressing the reset button on the device using an unwound paper clip or pen. I did it and it reset the display without resetting the content on the player etc - in other words the screen started working again perfectly and haven't had a problem since. 0 cauldron
I actually had to send my S203F in for repair because of this exact problem. It went down on the 8th day after purchase, just after the 7-day return period that's typical for my part of the world. It's been over a week, and I haven't heard anything since, so... I feel for you

0 SkylineGTRspecII
i know y, its cuz of water. this series is anit-water. any water splashes or a slight condesation and evporation will corrupt and damage this device for ever. this is the most known disadvantage of this player, this is the number reason y people return and complain about this device. remember, a slight condensation ruins the player for life. i always keep my player in the walkman pouch when im not using it b4 i sleep. always works, cuz the morning is very cold and wil give it condensation just like a water bottle. u might not notice it becuase the water vapor goes away by the time u wake up cuz of the sun and heat around.
