E01x series is released in HK. And, no, the phones included are not EX90 and in fact not from EX90/85/82 series. I believe Sony HK intends to lower the selling price to make it competitive with other mp3s, ipods...

The cheap stock ones that sony is famous for.

Coming from a world of minidisc, I must say I am intrigued by this model. The sound seems to be "fuller". I have had it for a few days, and I am a little confused using SS.

You cannot change the order of songs..it is all based on playlists/artists/albums

I almost brought it back cause of this but I have slowly gotten used to it, and I think I might actually like it in the long run.

Same here, a minidisc user. The lack of track numbers still bothers me but I've gotten use to the rest and even like the feeling that I'm plugged into a remote that isn't plugged into anything.

I got the NW-E015F too. I wanted the 016 but damn they only have it in Pink and Black over here in Singapore.

I was expecting the 90s but well it came with the crappy stock phones here. But it's around $120US (S$179) so I guess I can't complain. But then I'm still unhappy. The next thing that I am unhappy about is that the fact that it is LCD instead of OLED which I was kinda misled to believe, since I got a S705 for my girlfriend. Darn.

Transferring music via SS is ok if you have full albums, but when it comes to single songs or compilations/soundtracks, I really feel like poking my eyes out. And that darn crappy software don't freaking support unicode. Now that's dumb.

Didn't know the radio model used LCD display. Looking up the model on a search engine would not have been much help either. Several of the reviews say it has OLED and only a few mention LCD. One review says "OLED LCD"...guess they are covering their bases with that statement.

Hmm, I'm not too sure bland but I think all E010 models are LCD? Aren't yours LCD? From the pictures I see in the review forum it looks like LCD because you can see the backlit-ness of the screen. For OLED you don't need to backlit the screen hence the screen boundaries are much less visible.

I do not have nor have I seen this player so I cannot make claims, but here are a few things I have found:

One ebay listing of the Japanese model claims that it comes with MDR-EX082. This may be limited to Japanese models.

One ebay listing of the Japanese model claims that it uses OLED as a color LCD. This should not be limited to Japanese models. And to make things clear, OLED does not mean it is not LCD, and vice versa. However, if there is noticeable backlighting then it is definitely not OLED.
