New price tag for NWZ-A81x models

Whiles browsing around the Sonystyle.co.uk website I notice that the prices of 8GB A818 has been reduced to £129.00 and the 4GB priced at £99.01. Pretty competitive pricing by Sony?

Also notice that A806 with ATRAC support is still available for £125.

The A808 is also selling at play.com for £149.99 with free cradle. The player costs more, but would be a good deal for someone wanting the package. It doesn't seem to be the same speaker cradle they were giving away free at Argos, but the link's below.

Similar thing at sontstyle canada but we still don't have the 8 gig model.

4 gig 81x is 199.99 compare that to the old A8xx 4 gig which was 229.99, so a 30 dollar difference.

2 gig didn't seem to change, both new and old versions are 169.99, although new 2 gig a81x is still not in stock

assuming the 8 gig drops by the same ammount, that would mean 269.99 CAN.

the 600 series seems to be the competitor for the ipod nano here, 4 gig sony 10 dollars cheaper, anx 8 gig sony the same price, at 219.99.

According to the sonystyle.co.uk the pink and white A818's are shipping and the black A818 are being re-stocked.

Damn it, availability changed to 2-3 weeks. Until then I´ll have to turn knobs on my 706. Luckily for Sony the new Samsung T10 Player is not available yet.

It comes with bluetooth, fm, same capacity and great sq for about 50 Euros less. It appears that the US is being given preference by Sony for the time being.

Yes, it's the USA's turn now. We got preference earlier in the year. I don't know why each region is treated differently. Maybe it's done as to make products more desirable in the regions that aren't getting the preferential treatment at that moment in time. You will always desire something more when you can't have it. It's a marketing ploy I'm sure. Oh well thats my opinion

I though you said Apple for a moment there. I always though that it was possible to add Bluetooth to Sony's Network Walkman with WM-PORT. I would however agree that built in Bluetooth should be a feature of all feature DAP/DMP.

It´s possible via an expensive dongle (70usd, eur) but samsung offers it as an integrated feature. As the T10 is already 40 euro less expensive than NWZ-A81x it´s obviously a very good deal. The T10 is not available yet to the general public (only reviewers) but once it becomes available I´ll review it along with the YP T2

Yes,I know its possible ,but the problem is Sony doesn't sell add-on accessories in my country .
