Question

Ok, so I bought the NW-A3000 the other day. Nice peice of kit, but wasnt too happy about the sound and the lack of bass feature. So after the volume hack, the bass got a bit...bassier.

Now I want to get earphones that will provide good bass and overall sound, but at a low price. I;ve got to in mind

SkullCandy INK'D Earphones

I've read a few good reviews about them, and they're fairly cheap aswell

Also the;

Phillips SHE8500

These haven't got many reviews, and im not quite sure if its all that good. It's priced that same, and its a Phillips

So, which one will go well with the music player? Im not all that techy, so I dont know which features to looks out for!

Thanks in advance

Sony sound quality is amongst the best out there. That's why a lot of us here put up with their 'quirkiness'. If you want to get the best out of your player go for the best headphones you can afford. It is,however, a matter of taste........For me the Seinnheisser CX 300's are superb at a reasonable price.Don't even think about getting them on eBay as most of them are fake. I cannot comment on the headphones you have linked to as I don't know anything about them, but the price would lead me to believe that they are a bit too 'average' for your A3000 though.

I just read your Post.I have the A3000 also and I have a pair of Sony EXL90´s.The sound of these Phones are amazing especially with the A3000 EQ set-up properly.Beautifull highs and nice Bass...not to deep.I got these after trying Shure and the Sennheiser CX300 which are so overrated IMO.I would star away from the Skullcandy. Can´t imagine them much better than the Bundled pair.My only Critisim of the A3000 is the battery life.Atrac3plus 128 sucks the life out of the battery.Anyway I hope this helps.

About 10 pounds

Your having a laugh aren't you :lol: The supplied phones you have are worth more and sound much better than anything you would pick up for £10. Spend three to four times that and you should get something with good sound ie. Sennheiser CX300's

Well, at the moment my Shure E4s are defect so I use a Philips SHE9500 for the time being.

Sound quality is relatively excellent. The Shures sound much smoother through the critical midrange but other then that the Philips sounds very good for it's modest price; good enough to make me wonder wether the 10x more expensive Shures are worth it....

Well,

I remember my NW-A1200... sounded pretty decent....

I suggest you'd take a look at the V-moda Vibes. Pretty good IEM's!!!

If you want more bass and lower price, take the V-moda Bass freqs. Great earphones for the money! Much better then CX300!!!! And cost the same
