  1. Hi folks, yes, an upgrade was installed yesterday. Let me see if I can figure out what the issue is..I'll investigate today.
  2. Yes, Invision (the company who makes the forum software) is working on fixing the Downloads section. As for everything else, enjoy the latest version of Invision. Things will change over the coming weeks, hopefully you like it.
  3. Posted in CorporateMedia After a dynamite debut of new products at CES 2014 and the revelation that a veteran of Sony Electronics USA now leads the charge, a refreshed, leaner, meaner ‘little engine that could’ Japanese electronics company no longer wants to make believe. From the ad: “An artist can challenge an engineer with the impossible. An engineer can make the impossible possible. We measure our success with the flutter of a heart or a bead of cold sweat. After all, it’s not about what we make; it’s about what we make you feel.” View the full article
  4. Awesome find! Thanks for sharing. I miss the glory days.
  5. Well, when you're bleeding money year after year it only makes sense to get out of something unprofitable.
  6. Hi, welcome to the forum -- what model is it?
  7. Hi everyone, I apologize sincerely for the extended downtime. We did indeed move to a new host, and as usual, complexities arose. However, things are crystal clear and will remain that way for a long time. I won't let anything happen to this forum until I die. Great to see some familiar faces still hanging around. I do this for you.
  8. Wow, that is crazy how much they go for these days.
  9. From a quickie Google search, this would be applicable to: Onkyo MD-185II, Sony Gen MDS, MDM-5, MDM-7, MDS-JE770, and Tascam MD-CD1 (and perhaps other devices).
  10. Have you completely uninstalled and used the version of in our downloads section?
  11. I will be watching this with great interest. Mind sharing some pictures?
  12. The HX800 (and other 2010 Sony TV's) use the TMR-BR100 3D sync infrared transmitter. The device is capable of a 120 degree horizontal and vertical angle during RF transmission, and you can actually adjust if it transmits up or down based on the mechanism on the right of the device. There's a little marker indicating the direction, which is usually set to straight ahead. Try turning it downwards. You may also want to place the transmitter below the TV with double-sided tape, if possible.
  13. Great. I will also update the Download software to a new version soon.
  14. A bug popped up today where 'View New Content' will result in an error. We hope to have it resolved very soon, and thank you for your patience. Edit: And just like that, Invision has fixed the issue.
  15. Hi everyone. The forum has been upgraded to 3.2, and with that comes yet another new appearance. This is the default skin, and over the next week or two it will change aesthetically. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we evolve yet again.
  16. Sony Europe announced today that the well known and preferred media by Sony is getting even faster in transferring and recording your AVCHD videos and what not. This new Memory Stick is getting a longer title (PRO-HG Duo HX) it seems like every time we see a new evolution. I guess by the time we see a 128 GB Memory Stick it will have quite a title (how about this one Sony – Memory Stick PRO-HG Duo HX HD Super HighVision XGX). Joking aside, the memory media will be suitable for the upcoming 3D camcorders as well as new NEX
  17. The top of the line Bravia XBR929 sets are barely hitting the store shelves (a few lucky owners are already posting their impressions on the AVS Forum), and a new and quite feature- filled juicy firmware update popped up on Sony Support site. The following enhancements will be available to your new set. This software update (version PKG3.121AAA) provides the following benefits: Adds the ability to use the Skype

  20. Yes, it happened again. If you found yourself not being able to play online or access any network related services, it’s been reported that you may be out of luck for a day or two. According to PlayStation Blog: “While we are investigating the cause of the Network outage, we wanted to alert you that it may be a full day or two before we?re able to get the
