Marc, Great to hear of your dedication. I look forward for the GUI version MZ-NH1, What is this PC link you bought? It wouldn't be a Xitel MD-Port I/O would it? Im curious to see why you bought this cable for real time recording when you can use this method?

Hey Marc this is a excellent step. *Shakes hands* Now I can finally recommend Hi-MD to customers without feeling shaky about the restriction. Do you think you will make this into a GUI format? Do you think you will add direct OMA > MP3 conversion or any other format conversions. Are you thinking of making it a commercial project?

We are expecting to have Hi-MD by June, there has been no official word from Sony Australia but we are feeling it's very close

I think its a little bit of both, the server seems to be working very hard to fetch the pages for the visitors and then you have a forum which is heavy on resources as well. Do you know if minidisc.org is hosted on a shared server or dedicated server?

Just reading and replying to this post took me a while. If this is a common problem I think it is a good suggestion to upgrade the server. Slow sites always turns off visitors

Hi all, Is it just me or is minidisc.org org slow, especially the forums? It seems like the server is going overload loading the database and script? I am on a cable connection and when I ping minidisc.org I get the high 200ms and with 19 hops using a trace route. Is anyone else have problems with the slowness? Or is it just my end (i am in Sydney, Aus)?

The reason why MD prices here are more expensive than overseas is simply because of our tax system. We are one of the largest paying tax nations. 10% GST is a large chunk. When importing you are legally subject to pay the GST plus any import duty, normally around 15% of the total purchase (including shipping) You also must consider that when you import you will lose all local support and warrenty. Our prices are competitive but not the cheapest.
