Yep we will mark all internaionals as gifts. Tommy and Arden, Your order has been assigned to the next batch which will be due in mid week. Because we opened the store for international orders the delay may be slighly longer. We are trying to do everything to get them out ASAP though. International Orders Ok for you international guys. because of the nature of the internet and to protect ourselves from fraud and to keep our banks happy we will ask all international customers to provide further identification to us. I am sorry for any inconvinience this may cause but it is my duty to keep our store protected from these nasty "customers" and to be able to keep our store open for you guys. You will receive a email later today for the request -

Yep will mark as gift. ATRAC disc is just a music CD that is already encoded in ATRAC so you can download it onto your MD. They artist such as Beyonce, Fred Ferdanez, Spiderman soundtrack and a some Australian artist. Sorry you cant choose what you want, its luck of the draw. Just to let you know, there is a delay in getting these out for 2 reasons. 1. Stock is moving very fast, so its more than likely your ordering to hold stock for the next shipment coming in 2. Because of so many orders it will take us longer to get them all out. Our courier service reckons it takes 2 - 4 days to get it to you -

Canada is up now. The GST is deducted on the confimation page. Because of the bundle pack the whole package weighs about 2KG therefore the shipping is higher. These are the actual shipping rates charged, we are not profiting from the shipping. -

Thanks for that Disso, Looks like the AC adapters are stuck on 240v. If I recall correctly the NHF800 has a world voltage. For you international guys it looks like you will need to purchase a new adapter. You do not have to get a Sony one (they are the most expensice), you can purchase a 3rd party AC adapter from a store like Radio shack which will do the same job -

I will find out the voltage of the AC adapters when they come in. I dont have any in stock to check now and when we were in stock I never checked it. If any Aussies have a Aussie purchased Hi-MD unit please let us know the voltage range, if any, on your charger and what unit you own, otherwise I will try to find out as soon as they come into stock -

These units are Australian domestic units therefore they have Australian warranty only. If warranty is required you will need to send the unit back to us for repair. -

Every Hi-MD unit except the NH1 uses a standard Mini B connection. Just a small update, we are hopefully getting the stock tomorrow. I dont think we can get out all the pending orders tomorrow, there is not enough hours in the day so for you guys who are waiting please remain patient while we get rid of this back log. For new customers please expect around 1 - 3 day lead time after tomorrow, this is because we are receiving more orders than we can pack. I can pretty much forget about my weekends for the next few weeks -
Thanks guys for the support, minidisc_au is us (Minidisc.com.au) We are currently out of stock at the moment of blanks so we dont have a auction running right now, as soon as Sony get more stock you will be seeing more of us

Sony Au should make a reality tv show about this. it has been a ongoing yoyo. First we get a call saying there is literally thousands of 1G Hi-MD units in stock at around Aug, so we assumed that Sony we not going to stock the 2G rather than restock the 1G units. So we order a bunch and quickly almost sold out. At around the end of Aug we place another order but were soon told that Sony are out of stock and didnt know what happened to their earlier stock. There is no way Sony could of sold that many units in a space of 2 or 3 weeks, not even the iPod moves out that fast. We have been told for the last few months yes it will stay and then no it wont stay. I'm pretty much over it now and do think its a bad move by Sony but understand as they have a minimum purchase qty they have to meet and they seem to believe they cannot meet it. We have a number of disappointed customers, a lot of them purchased MDs as a recording format for their live recordings, radio broadcast and mainly the professional market. They have nothing to go to now since Hi-MD has gone. MP3 players has no where near the capabilities of the Hi-MD unit in regards of recording. The 1GB disc are still available, the disc dropping to a low price was not a indication of Sony dropping the units. Sony should still support your purchases with the disc being available. We are expecting a shipment next week. Again thanks for the update Z

Just to let you guys know that we finally received stock of our Hi-MD blanks, and to our suprise they are the new Crystal blue ones
-
Grab while you can, these stores are clearing stock on assumption that they were being discontinued, they were expected to be discontinued and they should be discontinued but Sony brought them back to life so after the "clearance" sale they will be back to normal pricing I assume
-
Its almost like Sony Au has been given the remains of the rest of world to clear out. They literally have thousands of units to clear, it looks like the usual product cycle of 1 year will be extended to almost 2 years
-
Ok jsut a small update on the MD scene in Oz. Its a bit weird and Sony Aus seems to have gone backwards but they have restocked thousands on the 1G Hi-MD units again and at the same price. I'm not too sure what they plan with the 2G units but if they are clearing stock first then it will be a while... So if any of you guys are interested pop on over to our website.

Yep and theres currently a shortage of blanks at the moment. Ive been waiting for about 2 months for a new batch to come in
-
Yep thats me Sony Australia is totally out of Hi-MD blanks now so I had to pull down the auctions until more stock comes in. I was told by the end of next week.
-
Not sure when There is currently a shortage of Hi-MD blanks right now. Maybe the blue ones will come in on the next shipment??? I dont think the disc are cheap here because Sony are overstocked.
-
You will have to send it back to Singapore for the warranty to be honoured. There are very little products that Sony offer international warranty, and if they do it is only for a limited time of 3 months.
-
What logs? Email? Would you mind PMing them to me
-
Not in Australia. Look, it is definately a mix communication. There are no 2GB blanks nor any inside news of any coming out in the near future. It would be great, but dont get your hopes up. Until there is a official announcement just live with the 1GB blanks
-
Umm I think this guy mis understood. We would of said 2G Hi-MD units which mean 2nd Generation Hi-MD units, not 2GB blanks. Sorry for the mix up
-
Yeah Im getting the same impression. They seem to be putting a lot of energy with the HD5 and the new flash players, I heard theres going to be a few promos in the next few months??

We sold our last Hi-MD unit today. Now its a bit strange that minidisc.com.au has no MDs to sell
