Welcome to the forums, friend. I think the best option at the moment in your price range would be the Sony MZ-RH10 Minidisc recorder. This is a Hi-MD unit, and you can learn more about Hi-MD here. Where do you live? Perhaps I can recommend an e-tailer for you to look at.

From: SFGate. What are your thoughts? Good/bad/etc.

Welcome to the forums. This is a pretty general topic, I assume you have searched a bit, right? This has been discussed many times before. Regardless, what interests you the most when you look at Hi-MD? Let's build upon that.

Indeed, the codec selection is second to none, and they usually have everything I'm looking for.
-
The chance of us finding any method to alter the volume limitation on this device seems very bleak. Usually, we can rely on the service manual for information on how to alter things within the device, but this is far different than anything I've ever seen before.
-
Actually, don't worry about it. I think that installing SP2 would solve this matter, however.
-
Maybe a firewall? Oh well, at least it works.
-
Can I see these drivers?
-
What program do you use that has a problem with SP2?
-
Congrats on your purchase! How do you like it? p.s. Puzzle Bobble Pocket, Hyena? Never heard of it..

Not a waste at all, perhaps this will help someone at a later point in time..

lol, I think we've all lost our marbles.

Remotes for NH600D and/or RH910
Christopher replied to ethornley's topic in Technical, Tips, and Tricks
What's your maximum budget? Once I know that I can work out which company would be best to go with. -
Unfortunately this will not work, as the AM/FM functionality is only able to work with the units that have been designated for such abilities.
-
It's all covered here: http://forums.minidisc.org/index.php?showtopic=7070

I just wanted to note that this issue has been resolved, here: http://forums.minidisc.org/index.php?showtopic=11498 I shall close this thread and ask of you to continue discussion there.

Sony will firmware upgrade MZ-RH10's missing words
Christopher replied to Christopher's topic in News
The best I could get out of Sony is that they recommend you contact the Sony division in your country and reference this issue via phone/email, perhaps even showing them the URL or referencing this: "Knowledge Article C397983" Further contact information is here: http://www.sony.net/SonyInfo/Support/ p.s. It'd be great if someone in the UK/etc could call their local Sony branch and see what they can dig up. -
They mark all packages as gifts to avoid such woes. You don't have to worry about it, and I'm sure other UK/etc users here will chime in and tell you about it.. p.s. Thank you, richyhu.

It definitely sounds like Hi-MD is for you. Selling the NF520 for $50-$75 is a good head-start on a $200ish MZ-RH910 or $250 MZ-RH10 Hi-MD unit. You may also be interested in first generation moreso than the second as it has better functionality with the old standard of Minidisc (MDLP, etc) - models like the MZ-NH900 and MZ-RH700 would be ideal for you.

These are great pictures, Ellen - I just had to compliment them.

Welcome.. What are your system specs? What version of Sonicstage are you using? Have you been using the same USB cord? Are you using a USB hub?
