That's not true dude CDROM can have both analog AND digital out (analog = cdrom dac, digital = soundcard dac) there's 2 audio connectors behind cdroms, the 2 wires one is the digital out Or you can use your computer power to read data tru the IDE/scsi bus with error correction (when you enable the option on WDM enabled driver , when using CDReader plugin for winamp or any other software who support digital reading)

No, don't delete directly, wipe them in you playlist instead Try enabling delete the file of the PC
-
There's another check box to delete the file from your PC when you delete a track from the playlist
-
They're stored in a permanent file until you tell him to delete the file (*.omg)

Power off the unit, remove all source of current, if this doesn't work...Sony might have fogotten to de-solder the test mode bridge on the PCB
-
Every MP3 decoder is different, you may use WinAmp to decode the MP3s to wav and then record to your MD with OMG/SS
-
Yes you can, get a Sony MDH-10 Data drive and a software worth 4500$USD to transfer digitaly at 5X http://www.esdl.co.uk/body/mdte/mdte.htm

Never head or KOSS? OMG */me slaps Bazirker* Well, "The Plug" (canal phone from KOSS) sound horrible, too boumy But thier behind the neck and headphones are good! (KSC50/55) The 828 are crap compared to Sony EX70-E888/Sennheiser MX400-500 If you need isolation, go for them, if not, get a 12$ MX400 bud sound pretty much like the E888 do (The 888 are slighty better, looks kewler, more confortable, but doesn't worth 5x more...)
-
! ! Sony is owning AIWA
-
Yes, it should work
-
You might try to set CDDB to get Japanese names...not sure if SonicStage willl automaticly convert unicode to JIS
