I purchased a used NH600D right from our own classified forums. It was such a good opportunity that I couldn't pass it up.

I'll be gettign a Hi-MD unit soon, hopefully tomorrow, I can't wait to try this app out. Thanks for working on this software.

You MD player/downloader is a low end model, but it's very capable of being a fine NetMD unit if you only plan on listening to music from your PC, plus the radio.

That's an awesome album. I've recorded it to SP and Hi-SP for use in my MD player and my ATRAC3Plus CD player. If you haven't heard Sketches of Spain yet, I highly recommend it as well. At this moment I've got Time Out by the Dave Brubeck Quartet playing now.

Sadly, no.

My company provides me with my phones. It's an older Motorola v60i that doesn't charge the battery very well. I've got to really fidget with it to get it to charge. I'm getting a new T-Mobile phone through work to replace this one, but I don't know what model it'll be.

I completely forgot about that site.

Any of you can add me to your IM list. Feel free to IM me, but you'll have to look at my profile to get the info.

I've sent you a private message.

You'll have to buy an adaptor. Run by a Radio Shack and get a universal/world one.
-
I hate to agree with you on this issue, but it is certainly possible.
-
The AC adaptors included with US market MD units will not work in the UK. It's as simple as that.
-
The address is christopher@minidisc.org for all paypal donations. Thanks for your support of the forums.

The NH900 itself will charge the battery in it. You'll need a UK power adaptor though, so head to your local Sony store, or any electronics store for that matter and purchase a UK compatible power adaptor and you'll be fine.
-
Please post more details, or pictures of the unit. What condition is the unit in? Does it include an AC charger? What color is it?

I use the Rooq skin as well. I like the gray.

Not bad man, /me likes.

I've read that thread. I though I'd be safe from scrutiny since all my gear in my laptop bag is commercial stuff. It al lworked out well though.
-
Yes, the MC-RM33EL (US version) and RM-MC35ELK (Janapese version) remotes will both work just fine on the MZ-N1.

You can download the Sonicstage software now from that site and get to work on the computer that you're working with. I was just advising you to update your home PC later as well as use the software now.
-
The newest version of the Sonicstage software is available at http://www.connect.com and it's far better than the software that was bundled with your S1. I'd upgrade the software on home home PC when you get back too if I were you.

Here in the USA we now have a government organization dedicated to Homeland Security. It was formed after the terrible events that occured on September the 11th of 2001. One of the divisions within the Dept of Homeland Security is the Transportation Securty Administration. I come into contact with these fine folks on a regular basis as I fly around the USA on business for my company. Today I was stopped after going through the security checkpoint at the airport in both my origin and destination city when I was flying home. It seems that an X-Ray of my laptop bag made the TSA workers worried that I might have a box cutter in the bag. They had to rerun my bag through the X-Ray machine again at each location, and they ended up manually searching the bag in the end. This happened at bothj locations. It seems that my spare NH-14WM (gumstick) battery was the culprit. The kind folks at my destination city were nice enough to explain in detail what had happened. I've never had such courteous service from the TSA before, and I fly often, so that's saying a lot. It doesn't hurt that they didn't confiscate my gear either. I've heard some TSA horror stoires in the past. The nice thing about this experience was that I got to talk to them for a few minutes about minidisc technology and a couple of reasons why it's good. One of the two agents I spoke with is a former MD user himself, the other is considering it as a future purchase. I stressed long battery life and live recording capabilites. as top features of the format. He seems really excited about looking into buying a recorder for himself. I invited both of them to stop by the forum and talk about MD if they wanted to do so. I had a good time knowing first that these guys are really on top of things with their job, that they were so nice, and finally, that I could do a little MD evangelism on a triip for my job.

Where's the Grado girl?

Connect your minidisc recorder to the speaker output of your soundcard and hit record. You can record in realtime.
