  1. Sbetsho I don't use lp4 so I have no idead but you can use SonicStage 2.0 and do the comparisons yourself. crazeybt1 The menu is similar to the n10 and they display is the same.
  2. No it does not come with an ac adapter nor does it even have a place to plug one in. Although when plugged into usb it is powered by the usb so it doesn't use any of the battery when you are transfering music.
  3. I'm not super impressed with it, Hi-Md is nice but as for the model it seems rather cheap and clunky. Of course I have been using an N10 which is super sleek.
  4. I also have an N10 and the sound is comparable although the N10 is a little louder.
  5. This model does not have a line in nor a mic in.
  6. It displays: Name of minidisc hh:mm:ss AllRemain And yes there are only gaps when playing through the usb.
  7. You can playback music on your computer speakers through the usb connection!! (just found out it is not gapless, there is about a 1 second gap between songs, bummer) I always wondered why netmd never had this. I was able to use SondForge to record this "stream"!! No more having to connect my home md unit with an optical out to my computer optical in!!! This only works on Hi-Md formatted disks
  8. I am unable to transfer music in LPCM. In the manual it states that LPCM files do not need to be converted to transfer them to Hi-Md. The LPCM songs transfer into SonicStage fine but when I go to transfer them to the minidisc it wnats me to convert to either atrac or atrac3. This seems kind of odd because it is one of sony's selling points. The only thing I can determine is that it is not supported in this model.
  9. Sorry I created a new thread for the pics: http://forums.minidisc.org/viewtopic.php?t=4787
  10. Thanks kurisu I have added a Nero Image file of the disc that comes with the MZ-NH600D. (It has both SonicStage 2.0 & SimpleBurner 2.0) Also the best way to download from that site is to left click on the file name and save to your computer.
  11. I just went to my local Target (Orem, Utah) without really expecting the NH600D to be there but to my surprise they had one! And of course I purchased it. When the 900H comes out I will upgrade but for the moment it is nice to have the Hi-Md technology to test out. I will be uploading images shortly and I am currently uploading the supplied software to: https://secure.thefilingroom.com/signin.asp...ilingroom%2Ecom Username: sonicstage Password: minidisc

    SimpleBurner

You can download SimpleBurner 2.0 and see if that helps you. http://forums.minidisc.org/viewtopic.php?t=4767
  14. REMOVED, CHECK OTHER LINKS IN THIS THREAD OR OTHER LINKS IN THIS FORUM.
  15. You can upload it here. I have about a gig of room and unlimited bandwidth. https://secure.thefilingroom.com/signin.asp...ilingroom%2Ecom Username: sonicstage Password: minidisc
  16. In SonicStage 2.0 it is alot better for recording to a minidisc in sp. First of all you can import files from a cd without having compress them to atrac3 or atrac3plus. Then you can transfer these files to minidisc in sp and it does the conversion right there. I have done it using SonicStage 2.0 and an N10. Then option for sp is the middle button between the "music library" and "net md" windows.
  17. You just have to go to the the portable devices and then click add device and choose netmd. I think it was different in previous versions of realone where you had to do the update thing.

    MDLP car units

This is a good place to get MDLP car stereos that aren't avaliable in the United States, prices are reasonable. http://www.audiocubes.com
  19. minimi First of all check your input connection and make sure you are plugged into the line in and not the mic input. Then check the levels for the input. In windows you can get to the level controls in the Control Panel under Sound Speech and Audio Devices. That could be your problem. If not it could be the tapes themselves. Analog recording levels can handle higher levels than digital. One thing to watchout for when recording analog to a PC is that built in soundcards will add HDD noise to your recordings. To avoid this you can either get an external usb soundcard or go straight to your minidisc.
  20. I have downloaded the new software and have actually managed to buy and download some songs. The process wasn't smooth and for downloading whole albums I had to go to My Account then clicked the link that says "recently purchased music" (or something similar) then I had to check the songs individually for them to download. Kind of a pain but I'm sure they will fix it. After downloading the music I was kind of surprised that the music is encoded atrac3@132kbps (lp2). I thought they would have used the new atrac3plus although the old format makes more sense for now since Hi-Md isn't released yet. It seems (although I haven't tested) that the downloaded files are only restricted for burning Audio and Atrac cd's (5 times for each). It seems that you can transfer these files to MiniDisc as many times as you want (note: I haven't tested this). I'm sure all the other normal SS restrictions apply(uploading to a machine other than the ones you used to downlod the file to minidisc). On Sony's connect site you can "register" up to three computers per account. So I was able to download the songs I purchased at home on to my work computer. I have no idea how long these files stay active for downloading. Sorry I don't have any more in-depth information I haven't really had the time to fully test the program and it's capabilities/limitations. I am curious how the backuptool will work with these downloaded files. I'll let you all know as soon as I find out. Peace
