was at Bic Camera in Yokohama yesterday...it is across the street from Yodobashi Camera. The nh1 was priced at 39,700 (378.00 usd). I was expecting every shop to have them on sale with this weeks release of 2nd generation but...

this week they are on sale for 29,990 yen (285.00 usd) at an Ishimaru Denki in Yokohama. Normal price is 34,000 yen (324.00 usd; down 5,000 from Christmas time which was 39,995 yen.

I like the 2004 Biancas alot. YamagataCamille talked 'em up in a couple of threads so I bought a five pack during x-mas season. A nice looking disc indeed...and Yodobashi Camera has had a sale on five and ten packs for the past month so I've picked up two 10 packs.

I have never had a bad experience with any etailer concerning audio or visual products. My three favorites are Crutchfield, Minidisco, and B&H photo. Always an easy transaction and quick delivery. It's when I purchase books or cd's that I have the occasional hassle.

yes you can record a disc for your friend who has netmd, provided you record on a standard md. His player won't read the 1gb disc.

mp3 playback doesn't matter to me either...but I would like to step into hi-md for the longer recording times.

Using past releases as the measuring stick; will the availability to download 3.0 happen the same day as the units are released or will the download be available before?

I am taking an md recording I familiar with to the electronics store on release day. I'll give the disc a listening on the new units. The oled screen is a neat improvement but function over form.

I hope your post regarding your leaving is only because you need to blow off some steam. Granted, there are users of the board who can't see, or fail to recognize, the knowledge and experience you bring, but there are others who find your opinions/ ideas worthwhile.

lycee, where did you find the realplayer driver for hi-md? The list for "devices supported" doesn't have it...

Tourist, did you buy your player on a credit-card with buyer protection? If so, look into your options there.

I've downloaded using the above ss link three times but it won't load. Each time I am told "target software for this module is not installed". Any recommendations?
