well slashdot.com is okay but it isnt just for portable audio it is for a lot of diferent things
-
thats a very good point
-
i think since i dont do any live recording or anolog recording im gonna stick with the 600d for a while and stay with the battery system
-
well i always said that sony has had some major problems its very rare that you will find a part of sony to be on the same level of professional that they should be at
-
i dont think sony ever knows when they are going to release any of their new products It seems like they are just making up dates as they go... :l
-
i have to agree with that statement rechargables will save alot of $$ in the end u only need like 1 or two seeing as how the players only need one at a time
-
none that i know of but if not then i guess this is the closest we will get... thanks

ell realplayer eecognized the netmds as a sony portable but its really easy to make a burn eith realplayer to md its seems like you are burning a cd -
yeah but if you do it in cycles so when one set fails then you can use the other set and then charge the dead ones so is that kind of what you mean by being able to play and charge too

i have a n NH600D himd unit that ate up batteries like crazy (one every two/ three days) it was my major concern with the unit but i found a good way to solv this problem....i had wondered if it would have been a good idea to use a ni-cd rechargable battery for the unit to save money on aa baterys i did this and it fixed my concern with this problem by charging four batterys and taking two out using those over the course of a week or two and then charging those in a few houres while using the other cycle....----- any one else tried this and had different results bad or good i would like to see if im the first to get this it would be easier to just get a model already equiped with rechargables but this way you can still use your player and have fresh batteries each time.....also inform me if this will fail in the next few years or less.....just lookin for backup info on my solution........

DUDE I THINK THAT WAS THE MOST ACCURATE AND AWSOME REVEW ON THE MACHINE THAT CAN POSSIBLY bE MADE ..... YOU SHOULD WRITE REVEIWS OR SOMETHING
-
probly in 64kbps in atrac3+ unless you have a very very precise ear or you are doing live recording or line in recording because this makes the difference in sound very nnoticible so i would use a higher bitrate for anything except USB for music
-
well its not like these limitations are going to do anything if u have ever looked at te count of people sharing music.....the number is close to 500 billion i and thats why they stopped sueing people left and right ....the chances of getting sued dont scare people its littlerly 1 in a couple billion.....so what makes this any different no one cares about limitations enough to just stop downloading music and even if it does affect someone enough it isnt gonna stop all of them.....

i am able to format the standard discs using explorer but i cant format using a himd gb disc unless i use sonic stage....i guess that aint bad but its kind of a dumb deture to have to take.... -
wow that sux maybe you should complain to sony about that they probly had some kind of problem goinng on in their shipment documents or something....but it is like sony to have some sort of problem going on so i wouldnt be surprised call em up....
-
i dont mean the packaging that the discs were sent in i ment the cases themselves seemed a bit much i mean the old discs were in cases that just covered the discs these are in casette sized cases and i just think they could be sized down
-
drifting bak to the hi md blanks thing i just got my order of three today...the packaging seems a bit excesive and looks like the price could go down by at least a a dollar give or take a few cents if they package them with a little less frill and more like the 80 min strd discs has anyone else recieved them and if so do you agree or disagree?????
-
i am with you in the part that sony has some major problems (minidisc shouldnt be judged by by sony's probs) and i hope you are happy with yer iriver but i will stay with md ...i dont much care for mp3 players unless they have everything i need and nothing more or less and are my only option ...i think that hi md will take off once sony is not the only one making the models......those are my thoughts

i like ss2 but i was wondering.....is it possible to use realone player since it is possible to with the NetMD's to record with a hi md player???? it doesnt matter to me much but for those who just despise ss in general regardless of any improvments this couls be useful -
Hmm i wonder y they dont just touch up the origonal instead of makin a new model for little things like that oh well thats kind of a waste of money fer them THANX
-
i agree that the 600d is a a budget model but if you look at it in one way its only got a few small little dissapointments that may be a tiny bit annoying things but i mean c'mon its the cheapest model and the best deal i think u just gatta deal with it and dont sweat the small stuff but i guess everyone looks at the size of a problem differently.....
-
okay this isnt about hi md exactly but after i get this answered feel free to tal about anything else ....... i recentley did some research to find an affordable Net md for my freind and i noticed that the MZ-N420D and the MZ-NE410 do all the same stuff and nothing more however the n420 is 99.99$ and the e410 is only 79 AM I MISSING SOMETHING OR IS THIS JUST A FUNNY MISTAKE BY THE SONY
-
well if you are going to be without a pc then i would actualy say Ipod even though i am a hardcore minidisc fan that kind of hates mp3 players because you can play games on the ipod and thats good entertainment if without a pc and if u arent one for any kind of entertainment other than music then go wit hi md and just make a few discs (however many you need to store all yer music) and just use those (the player is also smaller than the ipod)

im new to this site but i have purchased the nh600 and i cant find anything out on the market thats more durable than it for its size and usage....as for the sonic stage issue my i had never seen the 1.5 version before seeing 2.0 but my freind purchased a netMD model that had it and i was kind of disgusted with it i do belive that 2.0 makes a joke out of its predicesor i have never seen ITunes but im happy with what i got....
