Has anybody solved this? I have tried uninstalling sonicstage, deleting everything in my registry, using mdac repair....nothing works. It keeps saying that it cannot find the database file and it has to be restored and after that it says it cant do even that. And then it tries to copy an empty database file and it says: "The files that are required to use the database file may not be located". F@#K!!! Help me out plz...this is the first time I have such a problem.

hmm, i think the death of technology is also because of not enough of promoting of the units. a bit offtop: the same i can say about NW-HD series...i would buy one for myself - BUT WHERE DA HELL CAN I BUY IT IN CANADA? gosh, why does sony loose a big chunk of north america to ipod? i donno.. can anybody ask sony rep`s for info on NW-HD series in canada? and why they are not selling those up in here?

damn man ur screwed, that``s why u save all those checks man! all my big purchases checks are always in the place i know where to find. give it to sonystore anyways, it might not be expensive to repair that minor problem.

u can always use xvid to code ur video, i once coded a 700mb divx video into 170mb xvid video(though there was some quality lost, the video is still pretty watchable) so i suggest using xvid codec. heh and then u can watch it even on usb1.0 hehe

yeah, try sony mdr-v300 ---- best bass sound ive ever encountered in headphones so far. and the equalizer too ONE QUESTION THOUGH TO U GUYS: - can u post a pic of ur best equalizer setup? coz i`m strugglin with mine and i`m using jazz eq, and i`m not pleased with it. Anybody has suggestions?

cant u guys make a decoder from atrac to mp3?I mean like make a reverse codec of atrac or smth like that? Coz it has pretty much same structure as transferring from mp3 to wma/wav... the only problem that is for now, what is the codec structure are they using. Is PCM an atrac coded file?

hi guys, i have two questions: 1. what kind of remote i should by for a 700, so it works well with the unit? 2. any ideas about a mic for 700 to record college lectures? oh and i`m buying my 700 tomorow! yay!

the only thing i dont like in MD`s that the optical heads are really easy to break and really really expensive to repair. A lot of md`s on ebay are sold for parts because of that. Sony should somehow sell the parts of optical head - since the head consists from a lot of details and every each of them can be really easy broken and since the head is expensive(costs almost as much as the unit itself).

guys what`s the problem? if u can play the file from a computer connected to a hi-md, u dont need to copy it(well u cant) hehe - u just get software that records music from soundcard. It might not have the original PCM quality( i might be incorrect in that one) but you can still record it.

oh, thx man, u see i have this remote from my old MZ-R91, and i wanna use it for 600D, or 700. And i dont know will it work with them or not.
