i guess it's up to others to see humour in my posts.
-
thanks human, don't know what i'd do without you. i might find out one day though.
-
i don't see why you'd need to do it stealth style. as you say a basic microphone & a fresh batteries should be enough.
-
i don't get them, must a be an NA targetted ad
-
1/ yes 2/ ? 3/ you need to format them on the himd but yes no software is required to use UMS on most pcs, win98se or later, modern mac & most linux distros

once using a small library & the sonicstage transfer tool. i only did it after prompting from another user here who insisted it was posible. i assumed it was the back up tool that made it happen. note that i'd never transferred the music to any devive, just did it to test.
-
should be. have a play around before you settle, try as many bitrates as you can.
-
can he personally? cause others sure can, it'll give you a clone of the library - do it from a network drive for that new notebook
-
what bitrate do you want? 3+ is on the same list, infact is most of the list. so just choose the bitrate you want then SS will decide the appropriate code.
-
try & get back to sefu tam, it sounds like a dodgy piece of kit, hopefully he can sort out either a warranty fix or a replacement.
-
yep you can. you need to search for the oma/omg files [in windows F3 search for *.om* to get them] but provided the 'drm' checkbox in ss is clear they're open files
-
if the removable media means that much go the rh10. with drm these days [ss3.3] atrac3/3+ files are free to be copied & moved from the individual computer provided they don't have the drm applied [ie. bought mp3s or digital recodings but not imported cds] of course you still need sonicstage to transfer them. if you like removable media why not bridge the gap with an e40x/50x/60x flash player then invest in an rh10 or equivalent in 6 months? it would lock you into sony but not prevent a later change of heart.

nah brian, that is hilarious.

i prefer drag & drop / file tree browsing, just don't like the hardware involved in it with hdd players.

atrain replied to Christopher's topic in News
most player only units only have a screen on the remote, usually there's some buttons on an edge or inset on the back. -
