some of the older versions were horrific. random crashes, poor interface, arcane repair procedures. since 2.x it's been getting better, gradually, but better.

i was at a club once where the 12s had been replaced by something like this, wankers, we spent all night changing tracks in the middle because it was an open dj policy based on mutual music choice.

best discs ever. the one with miffy & the turtle is my no. one. i'm not a into 'cute' as such but i had all the books as a tiny little kiddie.

please post your system specs. take a look at you process in task manager, when transferring is all the memory taken up?

that's a very odd statement breepee, imo most companies spend time & money to make sure you are locked into a 'path' of purchasing, esp. their particular product, whatever it is.

it's odd you say this on my amd3200 it's ever so slightly faster to transfer similar sized songs with sonicstage than it is with itunes, likewise ripping cds to atrac3+ at 192 or 256 is far faster than even 128kbs AAC. that is with a vaio pocket 40gig vs. both an ipod 60gig colour & a 4gig nano. the vaio takes far longer once transferred to 'index' the files though. i think this thread has run it's course as andy has been discussing it via msn with some people. i'll leave it open anyway for awhile.

it's happened to me & others on the board before. don't be too concerned it'll cause no damage to the disc or unit.

try marcnet's himd renderer it'll be real time but'll keep the track details in tact & record to your choice of formats. freeware btw.

to aviod this i always have my sonicstage set to View - albums/playlists Sort by- Artist provided compilations have the correct cd name they'll all be together

i'd steer clear then or at least wait until you can see an ear specialist & then pose the question. if you were to use them anyway something with a flat response is aparently recommended.

they'll make them up for you fairly cheap. i know from needing non-standard cables replaced for sennhieser phones on a couple of occasions.
