(dual layer) Blank Media- What brands do you prefer?
Ishiyoshi replied to mercury_in_flames's topic in The Loft
For DL media, I tend to lean towards Verbatim. As for regular DVD+Rs, either TDK or Verbatim. -
This is a known issue but for some reason it does not apply to the Japanese version of SonicStage. I never had to initialize my devices thus far - when used between different PCs. You can read all about it here.

Sometime in July or August this year; just have to visit the region after looking at a gorgoeous picture of Gurudongmar Lake. Alright... back to topic.

Once again, I have verified the European link via both IE and Firefox. Both browser works just fine at my end. It's possible that the problem lies with your service provider. Nonetheless, I have attached the European firmware for your convenience. Please let me know once you've downloaded it. -->

Question about SonicStage 3.3 ATRAC3plus bit rates
Ishiyoshi replied to ZeroRing7_'s topic in Software
As long as your Network Walkman support gapless playback. -
I just verified the European link. It works just fine. Please try again.

For AVC encoding, I used to employ Image Converter 2 Plus. Now I mostly use a combination of DVD Decrypter and PSP Video 9. PSP Media Manager is another noteworthy application but of course for a fee. For titling purposes, I employ PSPTitleWriter.

Sony's Sir Howard Stringer | CBS 60 Minutes Interview
Ishiyoshi replied to Liberal_B's topic in Technical, Tips, and Tricks
QUOTE(Liberal_B @ Jan 8 2006, 09:18 PM) ←Hey people, I didnt know where to post this but Howard Stringer was just on 60 minutes and I recorded it on my dvd recorder. Right now I have it in VOB format (just gotta figure out how this Philips recorder truly works, seems the VOBs are separated in weird pieces), I was thinking of converting it to Divx 6 and maybe give it to the administration here so all can see. I missed the first minute of the piece basically where the reporter introduces the topic sitting in a chair with the story name behind them (the typical 60 Minutes intro). the piece is 12 min 46seconds: "Sir Howard Stringer: Sony's Savior?" bu Lesley Stahl What's the total file size of the VOB file? You can pm it over to me or kurisu - perhaps we can encode it into MP4 or AVC file. -
Thanks for sharing your pictorial and review. I am moving this to the pictorial/review section of the forum.

Please redirect your query to our sister forum: ATRACLife - which deals with all other non-MD ATRAC based device.

It should play just fine. I have read reports that UK and Japanese PSP plays Region 4 Movie UMD as well.

Some of you have approached me with the idea of our very own Network Walkman Display Screen Archive (Display Screen for the NW-E400/500/A600) – similar to the one by Sonymatome. Accordingly, I am pleased to announce that ATRACLife will now host a similar endeavor. For those who want to contribute, please pm admins and moderators alike with: a zip file that includes the .nwm; and an image (jpeg/png/*preferably animated .gif; size: 120 x 36) of your display screen. In addition, I would ask that you write a short description about your display. Thank you. --> ATRACLife’s Network Walkman Display Screen Archive Need instructions? You can certainly use it while in the plane since its cabin pressurized. But of course, the device will likely fail in high elevation area such as the Himalayas.

Welcome and thanks for sharing your experience. This is in fact a well-known issue already discussed. Thanks again and enjoy your stay with us.

Wow... that's a deal indeed; with shipping that would still only bring you up to about 11 quid including shipping. Please let us know if the buds are really authentic.

Question about SonicStage 3.3 ATRAC3plus bit rates
Ishiyoshi replied to ZeroRing7_'s topic in Software
Welcome to ATRACLife! Among the new ATRAC3plus bit rates (320kbps, 192kbps, 160kbps, 128kbps, and 96kbps) offered with SonicStage 3.2, your unit can only utilize bit rate 192kbps. If capacity is not an issue, I would advise you to utilize 256kbps. Otherwise, 192kbps should be just fine if you need to conserve space on your unit. Edit: forgot to add 352kbps. -
Will have to wait after CES. Edit: I have set aside a section within the download section for the Network Walkman's Display Screen. So, if any of you wish to contribute, please pm me or kurisu (preferably after CES) a zip file that includes the .nwm and an image display of your display screen. In addition, I would ask you write a short description about your display screen.
