Yes, they do have to load the .gif images; and I guess this is somewhat cumbersome for those with dial-up.

I've stop counting but the last tally was about 800++ MDs. I believe I have amassed another 100++ (inclusive of 30 Hi-MDs) just this past 6 months.

In Japan, you can acquire just such a cradle or rather a "vehicle stand" from Power Support Co. Ltd for about 5,800 yen. (click here for its WALKMAN related accessories.) Power Support does ships its merchandise to the US and other countries but the "vehicle stand" is only available for the domestic Japanese market at the meantime. A really nifty stand if I may add; I have a similar stand from Power Support, but for the PSP.

That's an interesting observation. So, would you say that CONNECT Player functions better (in terms of stability) in Vista?

I'm glad to see that you've finally constructed the .gif movie file. My own .gif movie sig depicts a sword play scene by Toshiro Mifune in "The Sword of Doom." <-- My avatar is Domo-kun with a pair of D66SL and the blue N910.

I promise I will get to it as soon as time permits.

Most definitely. If you are familiar with Takemitsu, you will know that he is fond of French music (Messiaen and Debussy in particular; notice that most French composers in general shared a particular affinity with the flute) and the shakuhachi (a wooden Japanese flute). I believe this led him to produce "I hear the water dreaming," the seven works that shared a similar theme: sea and water. So much for the brief background – The recording is very dream-like: very balanced, detailed tempo with rich and beautiful instruments – mainly the flute and harp. The music is slow with the intention to create a dream-like atmosphere. However, it may sound somewhat repetitious at times. Nonetheless, this is a great expressive piece. If you love the flute, this is a CD worthy of your library.

I have the Toshiba 60GB 1.8" HDD as discussed within this thread; and its model number is MK6006GAH. I acquired it recently for just under $200 for use with my Sony subnotebook TR5. So, the price quoted by the dealer is fine as long it includes shipping. For your reference, its specifications are as follows:

I use a Sony Clie UX50 with a 1GB MS stick. Just like Ivan, I employ the UX50 mostly for its PIM features, the occasional PDF reading and games. I used to watch MP4 videos with the UX50 but now that task (AVC videos) has been taken over by my PSP.

The software does recognize all other removable media and any form of external mass storage device.
