Just review your registry, RegCleaner and check the directories within your system to be sure that SonicStage is not present. Then install SonicStage 3.3 once again.

Welcome to MDCF! Let's try this once more: 1) Uninstall SonicStage and OpenMG via "Add/Remove Programs." 2) Delete the following directories: "Documents and Settings/All Users/Application Data/Sony Corporation and/or Sonicstage", "Program Files/Common Files/Sony Shared", "Program Files/Sony/Sonicstage and /Personal Audio Driver". Similiar directories should be found in lesser Windows operating systems. 3) Use Registry Cleaner such as RegCleaner to erase any further remnants within the following section: "Software" and "Uninstall Menu." 4) Reboot and check that SonicStage is not present in your system. 5) Install SonicStage 3.3 from one of this link depending on your location. In addition, please expand a little on your system specs. If problem still persists, let me know and I will include OpenMG Secure Module 4.3.00.08302 later.

I'm glad you finally figured out what was wrong. Enjoy your titling chores.

Note to RobA: US SonyStyle "brick-and-mortar" stores regardless location do not carry any MD remotes. If you wish to get a confirmation, call a SonyStyle store near you from this Store Directory. As Richard (richyhu) mentioned above, you will have to purchase the RM-MC40ELK (part #1-478-468-21) or other available backlit MD remotes from Sony DAPC via its online webstore or order by phone. (since your parents does not want to deal with online transaction, I am sure a phone transaction will be fine) The RM-MC40ELK from Sony DAPC will cost you USD$65.95; and its contact info by phone: Call 1-800-488-SONY (7669) The hours of operation are as follows: • 7:00 am to 9:00 pm Monday through Friday, Central Time. • 8:00 am to 6:00 pm on Saturdays, Central Time. • 11:00 am to 5:00 pm on Sundays, Central Time In addition, you should explain and show your parents Sony DAPC's website and indicate that the center takes phone orders.

It's possible that the MD discs which you are having problem with was recorded in LP2 or LP4 mode. (since you mentioned: "The minidiscs should contain recorded audio by another minidisc player.") Your Sharp MD-MT15 can only playback SP mode recordings.

I have never encountered any problems with the PSP and SonicStage 3.3. Employing a USB hub may cause this issue.

Yes, it does. SonicStage will work with any NetMD devices provided you have installed the Personal Audio Driver. (usually installed during SonicStage installation; and you can get it from the download section of the forum) Note: You should really install SonicStage 3.3 instead.

I think you are getting VAIO Media and VAIO Zone confused. The latest Do VAIO/VAIO Zone as I mentioned in the preceding posts is version 1.5 in Japanese. The latest available English version for VAIO Zone is 1.4.06.05190. Similarly, the latest available VAIO Media is version 5.0 (in Japanese) and I believe the latest available English version is 4.2. The only software mentioned above that I have yet to upgrade on my VAIO PCG-TR5B is Do VAIO/VAIO Zone 1.5 (currently have VAIO Zone 1.4.06.05190). I suspect that we may able to playback non DRM ATRAC tunes with this upgrade.

That's the codename for the upcoming Network Walkman: NW-A3000/1000 series. For further information, please visit ATRACLife Colloquium.

Yes, I do believe the patch if released will definitely rectify the issues highlighted in the bottom half of this thread. But, I now feel that Sony will not release a patch specifically just to rectify the problem we've encountered with VAIO Zone - can't playback ATRAC3/ATRAC3plus files converted with no copy protection. However, it is important to note that the issue is not a SonicStage problem but with VAIO Media and VAIO Zone instead. Hence, I think it is possible that the problem may be resolved by upgrading your current VAIO Media to version 5.0 and VAIO Zone to version 1.5.

You are on a roll! Thanks for sharing the great work. -
Yes, something along the lines of the LIP-880PD-B in terms of shape.
-
Both the NW-A3000/1000 employs two distinct flat type lithium-ion batteries respectively that are not in any way similar in size or appearance to the NiMH battery used by MD devices. Rest assured, removal procedure is very easy - just 6 easy steps.
-
It's relatively easy - removal of a few screws and two covers. Somewhat similar to how one would remove the internal battery of the VAIO Pocket.
