Thanks for sharing the pictures. I would suggest that you store them in the provided "Gallery-Album" section and edit the above post with a link for viewing. I would like to keep each Disc Pictorials to a certain layout. Please submit pictures for consideration in the future before posting them within the "Disc Pictorials."

Simply brilliant! Thanks for taking the time to share your impressions and pictures. -
thread moved to its appropriate section of the forum.

You are most welcome. Have fun with the new toy.

Mesmerizing indeed! Your avatar could very well act as an additional catalyst for Aussies considering the mega sale over at MiniDisc Australia. Anyway, the Halloween theme is indeed fun… should we expect a Thanksgiving theme shortly?

The shell of this AXIA MD series is like any other AXIA MD series. I reckon its color scheme and design that makes it seems "plastic."

Perhaps the new CONNECT Player will rectify this issue. Sony was supposed to provide a SonicStage 3.2 patch for VAIO (supposedly in September) to rectify the new non-DRM incompatibility issue with VAIO related software. I sure miss using Do VAIO/VAIO Zone for ATRAC playback.

@ MrDonkey: Your posts pertaining to the VAIO Pocket's "lyrics" feature has been moved to this thread. Let's continue discussion pertaining to the issue at hand in that thread accordingly.
-
Yes, indeed: lyrics as in words of the song in question. To enable this feature, you will need to utilize SonicStage 3.2. Please follow the instructions outlined below:

Welcome to ALC! That's little icon above the EQ icon is the VAIO Pocket's "lyric" feature.

You are most welcome, Abhinav. Walkman Beans and the upcoming NW-A3000/1000/1200/608 will be released shortly. Stay tuned.

That's brilliant. Enjoy the pet

I've released a whole bunch of ATRAC icons in mid-September --> click here and enjoy.

How to get SonicStage to work with my VAIO Pocket?
Ishiyoshi replied to CaliAgents1688's topic in Software
I've answered the above question in this thread. -
To initialize your VAIO Pocket, please follow the instructions outlined below: For future reference, please utilize SonicStage's help archive for any reference pertaining to software usage - it can be accessed via "Help--> SonicStage Help" or simply press F1 once you load SonicStage 3.2.
-
That's the case if you utilize SonicStage 3.2. However, you can use the VAIO Pocket as a removable media to facilitate transfer of non-DRM ATRAC files between your PCs; you will just have to re-import the non-DRM ATRAC files in question accordingly.

I do see it at the left column of their worldwide webstore and it seems they are available for $5 per piece for either the 74min or 80min variant. Drop them a note to confirm. [attachmentid=1011]

I've yet to try using the Hi-MD device as a removable device with systems that have no pre-installed Hi-MD driver. But I am pretty sure you don't need it. The above information was derived from Sony's website.
-
Since you can't import direct from Japan, try Bluetin.com.
-
Welcome to MDCF! You can certainly employ the Hi-MD device as a removable media via USB connection. (includes a system with WinXP) If you have installed SonicStage 3.2, you do not need to install additional driver. Otherwise, you may want to follow link 1 or link 2 to install the Personal Audio Driver. The PA Driver is to update the computer's Operating System to allow Hi-MD Walkman to function as a removable disk even without the use of the SonicStage software.

The new "CONNECT" Player is not ready for download yet. It will only be released sometime in mid-November.
