anyone who received his/her order please post the model of the adapter here. thanks!
-
yeah... sony singapore quoted me the price.. only S$26.00. That is around 10+++ USD. Rather cheap, i must say=D
-
thanks alot. There I set off on my treasure hunt again, determined to make sure I have the proper adapter when my unit arrives, so that I can start playing with it right away! I'm too impatient to wait:)
-
can i confirm the model number of the adapter that i can use with DH10P in Singapore. Sony Singapore is smart enough to have zero information about products they don't sell, even though it is another sony product. They can't google search or something.. lol.
-
another week at least before it arrives. Shipment route of my DH10P Eek -> Virtual Address in USA (provided by local service provider) Virtual Address in USA -> Singapore -> My home address. Will take pretty long...
-
after 2 days, eek replied and ask me the rating of the adapter which I haven't receive. i'm in singapore, wall socket is 220~240. Hope the DH10P is shipped with an adapter which can work with my wall socket. Plug adapters are no problems. I have tonnes of them lying around the house.
-
resorted to emailing sony singapore to ask where to buy the adapter seperately, if it is avialable. Ordering online again and going through all the trouble and wait again is too much for me.. what does "110-240V input" means? U can plug it anywhere without exploding?
-
yes, if that is the case i would need it.
-
emailed them asking if the adapter can can be used on 240. no reply yet.
-
quess i saved a bunch too...
-
have just emailed them, at the same time asking for the voltage ratings. waiting for the reply..
-
that is weird, considering a 3V adapter is listed on the specs given.
-
thanks! hi, i don't have the charger for that.. the quoted specs from amazon shows the 3V adaptor. Weird. Is that correct? No idea what region's model is eek selling.
-
Hi, i was not refering to the charger, but rather, the adapter that came with the product. I was wondering if it will be shipped with a 110/120V one, or whether it can be used in Singapore where the wall sockets are 240v. Then i read somewhere that the adapter included with DH10P is AC-ES3010K, which is the same as the one included with my MZ-NH900. From Amazon: Lets see who would get the unit first. No doubt i'm the last Btw, anyone managed to get hold of a copy of the user manual (digital copy) Would like to take a look while waiting for it to come.

Buy a few more, and you would have spent the amount "in a small defence budget" (quoting from Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy)

just a thought, did they tell you it is in seal packaged? I prefer myself to be the first one who open up the box containing things i purchased. if all these are true, we the MD fans are going to be grinning from ear to ear all day long.. too bad i'm missing in alot of actions because the penetration of md players in singapore is almost nil. for second generation, we only got the OLED model and its monochrome LCD counter-part. I've emailed Sony Singapore and was told the third generation won't be coming to Singapore. sigh.

hi, thanks alot. Already asked the very kind technican in my school to help me order, and he has forwarded the tracking number to me. This is the first time i've done (or gotten someone to help me) online shopping, and here are some worries currently running through my mind. 1) What if the shipped product is damaged? 2) Is the adapter provided usable in my country? (I checked this and discover they are shipping with the AC-ES3010K adapter, which is the same as the one I have gotten for my NH900, so it should be ok) 3) Lost in the mail?? Anyway, I'll have to learn some patience, as Eek Tech will ship it to my virtual amercian address by next week, then I'll have to wait for the local service provider to ship it over to me. Certainly will take 2~3 weeks I think. A long wait.
-
hi.. i'm ordering from singapore and had to set up a virtual amercian address through a service provider here to receive products from online shops that ship only in the US. Wonder how long that will take me. Also wondering about the reliablity of Eek Technology. Any comments? If all goes well I think i'll be the only one in Singapore walking around with this player(this player is not available in stores here, neither will be the 3rd gen hi-md )
-
I won't think there's any dedicated hi-md player available currently. i read somewhere on this forum that the camera model sounded muich better than my current model. Personally i think that the sound between the different cans would be different despite the fact that they use the same driver because factors like housing, housing material, etc will affect the sound too.
-
Thank you for the insightful reply. I'll ask my friend to read it so that he can be convinced. Btw, i'm currently enjoying my PortaPro with Sony MZ-NH900. Extremely happy with this combination. The sound is just prefect. I'll be happier if i can afford the Hi-MD photo model though. The price is too high. But i heard its sounds better than a MZ-NH900/

Clean up your keyboard abit
-
I've haven't tried it because my stupid friend was afraid i would cry after the comparsion. I'm using Hi-MD at 352kbps.
-
Since all these models are using the same 60ohm driver, is it safe to say that i just have to spend a tiny bit of money on the cheapest among them KSC 35 and i will get the same sound quality as the legengary Koss PortaPro. A friend of mine has been bugging me recently about the fact that his KSC 75 sound as good as my PortaPro and i'm foolish to spend so much on it. Can someone please enlighten me on this?

are these stickers? how did you make them?

Thanks to Ishiyoshi who introduced these discs to us. I finally went out to pick these up. If not for this topic i'll never notice these discs which are hanging in some secluded area of Daiso.
