Cool. Does the song and artist name move across the screen continously like on the 600d when playing? And does it take batteries or get its power from the 600d?

What is the best cylinder type remote for hi-md players? (600d specifically)

Well, since the quest for the 40ELK failed in local stores, time for round 2. I'm now looking for a regular cylinder remote which is backlit from a local store like bestbuy, target, etc. Anyone know what stores carry them? And it must be compatible with the mznh600d, preferably the RM-MC35ELK.

I've had my 600D for 3 weeks now, and MD is fantastic, thanks to everyone that helped me get started with great recommendations. My old irock mp3 player is nothing compared to my 600D. And I'm completely blown away by the amount of storage, the sound quality at 48kbps, and the amazing length of battery life. I hope to be the MD world for years to come, and I think the 600D is a good place to start.

I can't tell the difference between 48kbps and 256kbps. Go ahead and use it, to me it sounds great, even tried it my fathers giant stereo system. (but remember I'm no autofile)

Price. My NH600D was 88 bucks compared to 300 my friends payed for ipods.

For me, you can't miss features you don't have and my 600D has no mic port, and thats ok with me since I don't record. I use my MD everyday.

Question, are you only using this for download from your computer? If so grab an nh600D, you should be able to find them for less than the nh600, the only difference is that it doesn't have line in. I got one off amazon for 88 bucks. Good luck with your decision.

I need to find the 40ELK in a store. NOTHING online and I mean NOTHING. My parents are having a fit because they can't just buy a xmas gift in a store and refuse to buy it online, I've tried everything. I just need the name of a store that carries the 40ELK remote.

I'm currently using SS 2.0 and having no problems, it works very well. Are there any advantages to upgrading to 3.3?

Does this model work with sonicstage 2.0?

So I just stick the formatted disc in the player and load up sonicstage and it will format it for me?
