  1. Version Version 1.5

    1,832 downloads

This driver will install in place of ALL known 32-bit NetMD drivers (eg NETMDUSB.SYS, NETMD031.SYS, NETMD033.SYS). It is to be used on all versions of Windows, including 7 and 8. It WILL NOT work on Windows64 (the usual version for Windows 7 and 8)in any version of Windows. For that you need the (pinned) upload called "NetMD Driver 64-bit Win7 or Vista" elsewhere in this downloads section. To get the benefit of fast NetMD upload on the MZ-RH1 (and MZ-M200) you must follow the steps in the first post here: Ignore that step if you have never installed a NetMD driver before (you will know, if you are reading this) on this computer. If you don't do this on a system that has been used before with the "standard" drivers from Sony, your uploads to the RH1 will be TEN TIMES slower than expected. This will undoubtedly shorten your temper as well as the life of your precious RH1. Please note: there will be a signing error during installation because the contents of the .INF file have been edited (relative to when Sony originally compiled it). You must ignore the error at install time, either by disabling checking of driver signing, or by overriding the default behaviour which may be to ASK whether you wish to ignore the signing error. Without this step you can not install the driver. In Windows 8 signing is forced on, and you have to (temporarily or permanently) make it optional. In earlier versions of Windows it is optional (on request) or may be turned completely off (not recommended). It's ok to turn signing off temporarily to install this driver, then set it back to its former condition after the install. The error will be something like "STOP: are you sure you wish to proceed?" or some such terrible-sounding warning. It's quite safe, FOR THIS DRIVER, to ignore that. There's no change in the driver itself, only the information file which allows it to be installed on more units. I hope this is useful. I don't know what they've done to the software, I ended up with TWO new versions (except that the first one is NOT NEW). You need the SECOND ONE.
  2. Hello everybody, I have been collecting my Prestigious Minidisc collection over the years and I think now is the time to part ways with them now that my health is failing. I have multiple units from every generation of minidisc and if you are looking to have a piece of this awesome history, check out my selection below and PM me if you have any questions. All units have their own original box, manuals, cables, and software. 1: MZ-N707 (Blue/Silver) 2: MZ-N707 (Black/Red) 3. MZ-N10 4. MZ-NH1 5. MZ-NH3D 6. MZ-NH3D (I have two of these. Extremely rare) 7. MZ-EH1 (Black) 8. MZ-RH10 9. MZ-RH1 (This guy is the holy grail of the bunch to me. Love the way it looks, sounds, and records)

  5. Sony MZ-RH1 for sale ! LIKE NEW ! Hi, I am now selling one of my Sony MZ-RH1 walkman, since I dont really need it (I have 1 more). It have been used MAXIMUM 3 hours, it have no scratches and is working perfect. Included is original package, manuals, remote and headphones (which has never been used). Original reciept is also included from Mediamarkt in Germany. I can post here from Denmark anywhere in Europe at 30 EURO, and we can use Paypal for your safety of payment. This is the best MD ever made from Sony I think, it plays and records all MD formats and is very very rare now. Grab the bargain. 500 EURO or best offer over 400 EURO. First come first serve ! These units go for over 6-700 EURO now when they are hardly used ! PS: Also check my other adpost of the Onkyo MD-133 here: Contact email: peter_marquardsen@yahoo.com Peter, Denmark

  7. I recently retested an RH1 belonging to a well known member of the forum prior to returning it from repair. It's only a few weeks since declaring it fixed, but already the annoying problem with the jog lever had returned. Up to now I have always relied to a spray cleaner to alleviate the random non-functioning of this multi-contact switch, but it was obviously not enough in this case. So I steeled myself and decided to try something more extreme. Thankfully I had a damaged switch to try this out on first, which is a good job as I managed to break it first time! But I have now developed a method of opening up this switch so I can access and clean the contacts. Not recommended for the feint-hearted! What did come as a shock is that the contacts are not precious metal, and so suffer from the same tarnish that affects many of Sony's other products, including the rotary jog dials of the NH series, many remote controls, and so on. Once I had carefully cleaned the contacts and lightly lubricated with silicone grease (hoping this will prevent the return of any oxidization for as long as possible), everything seems fine. So that is one more of the RH1's annoying little problems solved. Please note to anyone else trying this: the components are very small and easily lost. You need a very fine soldering iron, and a lot of skill using it. It is very easy to melt plastic and render the switch unusable, and all too easy to break the electrical contacts which are tiny. And should you cause permanent damage, getting hold of a replacement switch or whole display board is not easy or cheap. You have been warned! Jim
