I mean, most of the average listeners already have a set of decent PC speakers and most (all?) of the audiophiles have their PC already connected to their Hi-Fi system. I don't see the point of another unit.. Maybe people will buy it because it's wireless? But then again, I don't think audiophiles will trust such a wireless system.About Mac support: please Sony don't forget the penguin!! (3.0 hasn't come out yet in Europe... we're still using this 2.3 awful version)...Please PLEASE, let the 4th one the so much awaited version...the perfect one! I think Windows Media Player is long, long past the WMP 2 stage.So that users can make the most out of their existing music library, the NAS-CZ1 allows automatic connection to a wide range of music jukebox software (including Musicmatch1, Windows Media Player2, iTunes3, and SonicStage4) via the supplied software M-crew Server. The white cover is not the only reason the iPod's do so well. iTunes is easy and convenient. I don't see the point of another unit.I'm all for the ability to transfer recordings to/from a Mac, and I think Sony's new unit will have success particularly with new buyers, but quite irrelevantly I highly doubt most or all of audiophiles (in the elitist sense of the word) have their computer connected to their hi-fi system - a typical computer's audio system is not an incredibly high-quality one, often quite poor :-) Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I didn't see the other numbers next to the other applications!Well, anyway, let's say there will be a 4th version someday! (I just hope they're gonna give up with this "sonicstage", find another name, and a brand new prefect program!! wouldn't it be better? sonicstage has now a really really bad image, even if it slowly improves at every version...).The reason I don't upgrade with a US or jap edition of sonicstage is that the last time I did, it worked fine for a couple days, and then screwed up my music library. I have a vaio and Vaio zone wich shares the same audio library. If not the same language, there can be some bugs... or not.... anyway, I don't know....I'm just still upset Sonicstage still don't manage Kanji !!! Why Sony can't just make addons language for any language (jap, chinese, arabian, hebrew, whatever!) if they can't put it dircetly?Well. This is not the right post to talk about that.But this sony device makes me ask a lot of quetsions!! are they going to sell every month a device which can do better than the one come out a month ago? Since all you need SS for is transferring to MD and all you'd ever want iTunes for is physically sorting your collection, I don't think you need to squabble over which is "better". Sonicstage and iTunes try to be a music control center, from which you play, rip, burn, transfer, organize, edit, buy and search music. iTunes scores everywere nice (of course it too has it disadvantages), Sonicstage almost everywhere failes. But i think the speed in which the MD spins at is a limiting factor.SO, could we be seeing Sonyappleson (n. So-nee-yap-pul-sun)? Theres a few tips and tricks each company could learn from each otherE.g. Sony adapts loseless and Apple finally gets removable batteries!
