The Low Volta
I was just wondering, does this remote have a buitlk in tuner?I want to get it for my NH600D, but i wanna make sure it does beforehand...thnx in advance..←tuner remotes (like the one that comes with the NH800) only work for players that have a 'tuner' as one of their features so the NH800 only, putting a tuner remote on a NH600D will just give you the remote functons, but not the tuner...IMHO, the Rm-mc40elk is a bit of overkill for a NH600D, as it really shines in (stealth) recording situations, which you won't be experiencing with a download model only...greetings, Volta
darkangel
hey i found it on ebay for like $1.26, wouldnn't you jump at that oppurtunity!?
The Low Volta
hey i found it on ebay for like $1.26, wouldnn't you jump at that oppurtunity!?←that isn't an opportunity, that's a steal... but I would really make sure the seller's legit (well, not really necessary for such a low price) cause normally it costs $70 and more (on e-bay)...sorry to say this, but I really don't believe someone would sell their (working) rm-mc40elk for so little money... if you believe it, try it and let us now, you could have done the deal of the century!greetings, Volta
sushi
I don't think it's the final price. There are 5 days left to bid...
The Low Volta
I don't think it's the final price. There are 5 days left to bid... ← that explains it... just wait and see if the final price still is a steal then (I really think it's a bit of overkill for a NH600D though)
Syrius
Volta, sorry to sound like an Uber-Nerd but regarding your post about putting the tuner remote in another unit, it won't even work. The remotes have two raised "notches" that prevent them from even going into another unit's remote jack. And believe me, I have tried. The Low Volta
so lemme get this straight.....I wont be able to use this remote?←- you will be able to use the RM-MC40ELK (3line remote,NO tuner, ships with NH1 mostly, costs about $70 and is a bit too specialised IMHO for use with a download-only model, as it really shows its use in stealth recording situations...but it's your money, so you are free to do what you want)- you won't be able to use any tuner-remotes (like RM-MC39LT shipped with the NH800) as they have a different plug typehope this helps, for further info read Yamagatacamille's guide to MD-remotesgreetings, Volta*edit: added some color to answer darkangels next question...again Edited June 16, 2005 by The Low Volta

mercury_in_flames
* edited* no need to be mean You CAN NOT use a remote that is a radio remote with any unit that doesnt have the specific radio PORT. So, for your 600 himd you can NOT use the radio for 'radio capable' remotes. Edited November 9, 2005 by GregTheRotter

KrazyIvan
ooh ooh my turn to be a smartass loli have a radio remote that works for my 600Dthe tuner doesnt work of coursebut it does fit in my 600D and has the basic functionsit was made for a normal minidisc player thoughits the RM-MZ1TI can confirm that. I have the 37LT and the 39LT tuner remotes. They work to control my older units but you really have to jam the remote plug into the port on the MD unit. I would be afraid that using it would cause damage in the long run. Plus the screen does not even work. For the 600D I would recomend the 33EL, 35EL or 40ELK remotes (I own both the 33EL and 40ELK). With the later being the best suited for it. The tuner remotes are only really designed to work with the G750, NF610 and NHF800. I have the NF610 and NHF800. AMPlitude
wow, i never knew that the tuner models had different plugs...maybe because of extra power needs?
