The Low Volta
well, I was just wondering two things about headphone behaviour:- what type of phones do you all prefer (= this poll)- what cordstyle do you prefer with 'buds and in ear-style 'phones (= part 2 of the poll)my opinion...I'm the proud owner of:- sennheiser HD497 (over the head/hifi)- senn MX350/sennMX450 (earbuds)- panasonic RP-JE50 (in ear)and for comfort I'd prefer the sennHD497's, but not for portable use, when the pana's really shine (although I do not really like the amplification of your 'own' noises, like footsteps, with the in ear type...), buds are comfortable, but let too much noise in and to much music out as far as I'm concerned... so my vote would be for the in ear type
atrain
for home use big cups rule. better sound, more comfortable on the whole.for portable use i find eggos are the equal of most phones & buds.
Ishiyoshi
I couldn't agree more with Adrian. Home use: big cans; Portable use: Eggos.
Damage
What are these eggos you speak of? There is the only one phone that's acceptable for portable use, and everyone knows it's the hip, the chic, the evar retro (from the 1980s!!) ...KOSS Porta Pro!!! KJ_Palmer
Big overhead phones at home for the best quality sound (I use Senn HD595 or Grado SR80). I'd never use them outdoors and risk looking a bit silly (or more than I do anyway), so I'd go for portable overheads like PX200, though more often I use earbuds (Senn MX550), which is what I voted for... The Low Volta
I was just wondering... did you label eggos as over the head portable or hifi (I have actually never seen them in real life so I do not know how big they are...so sorry if this is a stupid question)if eggos are portable... I'm wondering who the hifi ppl are, I used to walk around with my Senn 497's but I got a lot of strange looks and they are open type so almost the entire train was 'enjoying' my musical choices so I quit using them outdoors
atrain
they are slightly bigger than an egg. you can easily cup your hands over the ear pad.

V7506 are exactly the same as the V^ which have bright sound but heavy bass (what i heard). id say go for the XD400, im getting the 300's myself and heard they are good.
