Hi everyone. Up for sale is a Sony MZ-E620 Minidisc player (green). Unit was originally purchased new just over a year ago.

This unit features:
  • ATRAC Type-S
  • 6-Band Equalizer
  • Digital AMP
  • MDLP/Group Support
  • 3-colour indicator LED
  • Shuffle/Bookmark/Program Play Modes
  • AVLS
  • One-touch eject

The unit itself is well-built, and in full working order. The unit is in excellent condition, barring some very minor scratches on the clear plastic surface over the magnesium faceplate. Might I emphasize that these scratches are indeed very minor, and can only be noticed at certain angles when examining the unit very closely. I am mentioning this for the sake of completeness - rest assured I take very good care of my MD units - that aside, the unit is in fantastic condition (see photo below).

Included Accessories (see photo below):

  • RM-MC33EL Backlit Remote Control Stick
  • Detachable AA battery clip
  • Matching (green) charging stand
  • 3V/1A AC Adaptor
  • Sony draw-string carrying sack-case (grey)
  • ... and the original instruction manuals.

FYI, here is quick snippet from a review I did on the unit previously:

The build quality of the main unit is excellent and does not feel cheap by any means... The unit is smooth and stylish, and, naturally, the pictures from Sony Japan hardly do it any justice, but I shall try to describe it for you as best as I can.

The top face of the clamshell lid features a small, silver Sony Walkman logo, embossed on a raised layer of transparent plastic above a sleek chrome green finish below. This gives the top face of the lid a sexy three dimensional quality, similar to the computer mice and keyboard of the first generation iMacs...

The supplied remote is the 33EL, which, in my humble opinion, is a substantial improvement to its predecessor the 11EL. I found the remote very tactile and user-friendly, and had the controls mastered within 60 seconds. The remote displays all the usual playback information, as well as some irritating animations when changing the sound-presets.

I'll be happy to answer any further questions you may have. Just drop me a PM.

I'm looking for $130 AUD ($98 USD) plus shipping costs. I'm in Melbourne, Australia. I accept Paypal, though Aussies have other payment options...

Thanks for looking!

Beautiful indeed and it definitely deserves a pictorial. Perhaps, zerodB could set one up before he parts with it. wink.gif

Yep, I will definatley take some more pics before (if) it finds it's new home...

what are you aiming to buy with your proceeds?

With the death of MD looming, I'm considering an upgrade... possibly an E730, perhaps a Sharp... or perhaps I'll get some nice earphones instead, or put the proceeds towards a new PC, haven't decided yet...

As per user requests, some more pictures of the unit:

A couple of the photos show some of the scratches, which as you can see, are barley noticable. In hindsight, I probably shouldn't have even mentioned them, but as greg pointed out, some can be very picky and I like to avoid buyer regrets.

Bear in mind that since the top surface is clear plastic over magnesium, the unit is bound to be prone to some markings (fingerprints, etc), but could always be given a clean with some polish/soft cloth, or even toothpaste to remove any markings.

Ok, it looks as though my ebay sale fell through. Luck of the draw I guess, you win, you lose.

Some guy asked a whole bunch of questions about the unit, to which I replied. He then committed to the purchase, Paypaled me an incorrect sum of money (which I refunded) but I haven't heard a thing from him since, despite a few polite emails in his direction.

Well I launched a dispute with ebay, to which this buyer is still yet to acknowledge. I'm pretty sure the sale will fall through though, and I'll be refunded my ebay fees. The seller still has a couple of days, but I'm pretty sure if he hasn't responded by now, it will be highly unlikely that he will anyway.

I do get a free relist credit with ebay, but if anyone else here is interested in the mean time, feel free to PM me.

Cheers, zero.
